Thank you Lollipop, Carols and Michelle, you have expressed it very well, much better than I could,
I feel sad about the angry undertones that some members here used,
even proposing "reputation points" what for?
I will, as Daisylove said, enjoy what I got, play from time to time with my beads,
wish you all well, hope you will get those beads you are longing for and have a good time

Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
I wrote a comment on the Danish site to thank for bringing the Joyfull back.
They answered me and liked the comment!
I wrote:

I just wanted to say a huge THANK you for making new "joyfulls"! Now I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Crane!
They answered:
"Selv tak, Jenny. Vi håber du bliver glad for den."
Thanks to you too Jenny, We hope you´ll be happy with it!

Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
I can understand both views. There is no 'right' choice for Trollbeads to make in this. If they rerelease beads alot of long time collectors will get upset having spent alot of time and money on finding rare retired beads. However. If they don't rerelease beads alot of new collectors might never be able to get those older designs and TB will miss out on alot of money that now goes into the secondary market right now. It's a difficult, there is no 'right' choice.
Personally I do hope they rerelease a retired bead as a LE like Joyful once in a while. I would love the tulip lock, but I saw one go on ebay for close to 500 dollars just recently. I'm a student and just don't have the money to spent such a huge amount of money on one item. I'm hoping rereleasing old retireds might also help reign in excessive prices on the secondary market.
I do understand that older collectors that spend the time and money on finding retired beads are upset about it though. Since there isn't really a clear difference between the older and the newer bead it does devalue the old retired beads. Maybe having an updated version of a popular retired bead would be better?

Yes I agree...Reputation points are usually the road to flaming, personal attacks and locked threads..As I said before having an opinion one way or another about the re-release of a charm bead dosen't make someone a bad person..Be sure to keep showing us your beautiful designs Catsworld ((((0))))

You're so right Anita , I'm just making TBHQ perfectly aware that I love joyful and if your making a Crane...
I WANT ONE!!
I don't think I'm hurting anyone's feelings? I'm sorry if I am, I'm just discussing it. I like to know what other people think, especially if it's different to my point of view, as it make me re evalute my conclusions.

I really was polite throughout the thread, so I have to say I am a little hurt for being singled out for a comment I made in good faith (for those who want to see, page 7 on this thread) because I liked what Smaug said so much that I wish I could have a way to express this better than just saying "I agree!!!". that was all. as sometimes some members express my thoughts towards something better than I ever could. is something that is used in another forum I go to, and it works just fine.
But, if you had taken your time to read my comment right after this one,
Engel wrote:Pandabee(uk) wrote:Engel wrote:
I wish we could give "reputation points" here in the forum! beautifully said. Smaug!
....Yeah but then I'd have a minus figure?
lol
in another site we go, everybody starts with 1 reputation point, and can get them from other members when they particularly like one post of theirs, and you see people with many reputation points are usually the wise ones that always give good advice, but maybe here that wouldn't make much sense, as we mostly share pictures of bracelets and not always have threads where we talk extensively about a subject like with the retireds
so really, from all that was said in this thread, some people making passionate comments to defend their point of view, I really feel down for something that meant no harm (the opposite actually!) was singled out as such a bad thing. maybe I should stay away from this thread, if even my innocent comment is seen as belonging in the category of "angry undertones that some members here used".
Pandabee(uk) wrote:Nah, that wasn't angry, she just respected her opinion and wanted a visual reminder.
thank you so much. It makes me feel better that not everyone here misunderstood my intention.
Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
I've read and re read the whole thread. I can see both points of view and appreciate the thoughts and passion behind them. Some people put their opinions more forcefully than others, some people may be more sensitive than others. There is a fine line though between healthy discussion and vitriole. We're not at the latter yet but personally, I can see the potential. I've seen some pretty sharp comments on other forums and I wouldn't want to see that here.
It's a shame that something so good at bringing people together is now causing division.

Catsworld wrote:I am one of the grumblers, you can beat me or not...
Since the re-release of the Joyful I have been very unhappy with my "expensive" Joyful, and not only with that one, all my Retireds have become quite meaningless to me,
Am I happy now? no not really...I don't care any longer for Retireds, I have lost confidence in TB alltogether, they do what they think they have to do and that is o.k for me, I cannot change it anyway..
Trolldog, why do you assume that all people who felt unhappy about the re-release must be bad people, greedy and full of enviousness, grudge or whatsoever? (English is not my first language, sorry-- maybe you know what I mean)
I will never ever in all my life not pay inflated prices for one bead as I have done before, so that is for me the real good news, I have not made money with selling of retired TB's, I have been buying TB's at inflated prices.. and yes, I have been able to do so... am I a bad person because of that?
Absolutely NOT and I apologize if that is what you took from my comment....I have not read the whole post, but will certainly address and apologize to each one who posts and was offended. I kind of expected to have eggs thrown at me, but I didn't expect all of the agreements. I too have bought many beads at huge inflated prices, because I love them, just like you did. You are not at all what I was talking about. It's the people who sell the beads they paid little for and put a $1000 price tag on them on ebay or other places. It's the people who apparently do NOT love trollbeads for anything but a business to make money. Again, please accept my apology and I do NOT think you are a bad person AT ALL!!!!! I cannot say that enough. I must go to work now, or I will be late, but I will pick back up again this afternoon when I get home. I most likely will not pay inflated prices any more myself. But, when TBs made all of the red dillos and Macs sold them on their site, I still did not love my old one I paid a huge inflated price for any less. Value in love and value in money is entirely two different things IMHO. Again, I will finish reading when I get home this afternoon.

Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
Quoting Anita,
Only if we let it and I try very hard not to say anything that could be perceived as nasty. I came here because everyone feels kind and I enjoy the warmth. If I've unintentionally hurt someone I will explain myself and if needs be I will apologise. That's just common sense, as it's easy to turn anything into a bun fight.
But I do like discussing things too, as I sometimes get the wrong end of an idea or simply enjoy others point of view....there are normally many, many possibilities I hadn't thought of.
Actually, the only time I said something fruity was on the TAW thread, but that's because I googled as suggested and ended up looking at something I wished I hadn't. It needed a NSFW warning.

Indeed, this place is to share opinions. There's no right or wrong when you share your views whether about retired Trollbeads, the latest Harry Potter movie or baking quiche... (I honestly wouldn't even know).Tinka wrote:Michelle please don't feel sad about other opinions. Everyone has a right to feel and express their own, it's not a game about the strongest opinions.
A lot has been said about this issue, but the bottom line for all of us is: be happy with your own collection, no matter what others (or HQ) do, say or think. We will never be in complete agreement over this subject I think, but isn't that what a forum is all about? There must be things to talk about :-))
But let's face it, so far we have no explicit or official communication from Trollbeads HQ about rereleasing retireds. Louise may seem to have good contact with TB HQ but despite me valuing her opinion and the good conversations we have, I also noticed the addition to the blog that actually questions her own statement.
Before feeling unhappy about something that even may not happen and taking drastic steps it wise to take a pause and review what happened. Beads, collections, retireds, value and more, those are the things we talk about but most important it is not about talking/speaking only it is also about listening and respecting others despite having different or opposing views whatever the subject.
I can assure you if I would not allow opposing views and people disagreeing with or disliking me here on BT, the forum would show certainly lack a few brand sections and (anonymous) retailers.
So, please I certainly hope we at least can agree that we may disagree.

Anita!!!!!
I spend half my life trying to convince friends, relatives, my children otherwise ....
Seriously, I'd like to think that all members here are mature enough to be able to agree to disagree and I'm grateful for the injections of humour in this thread.
I've often thought it's not what you've got ie limiteds, ultra rare retireds, turtles coming out your ears etc, but what you are able to create with the beads you do have that makes trollbeads so different and versatile from other brands, and many, many designs on this forum bear that out
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”. This is so true when it comes to Trollbeads

I am very sorry to hear this, and that she is so upset. I understand why. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon , and she may reconsider coming back one day.
Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
I just want to appologize if I offended anyone with my comments. I don't think I said anything "nasty", but it is hard to know how people interpret postings on the internet.
As I stated previously (p.10), it is not TBHQ re-releasing or not re-releasing the retired beads that got me upset. It was the blog Ms. Rogers posted about it that was my main issue. I do not appreciate a TB retailer using questionable information to try to increase their profit margin. And it is not the first time this has happened with this particular TB retailer. I felt, whether it was right or wrong, that I needed to voice my opposition to her manipulations. And I do appologize if this has inadvertently hurt people's feelings. It certainly was not my intention.

I think that is the MAIN issue. THAT is why I wanted to write to troll beads. What she is doing is WRONG. On SO many levels...

I thanked My Trollbeads (the UK Trollbeads Facebook page) for letting us have Joyful and asked for the re-release of the Crane. They just posted this response.
'So glad that you are happy with your new Joyful bead - I will pass on your request to Denmark - you never know...!'
