I really enjoy a good debate & hearing all sides of the issue. I'm not offended & didn't read anything overly offensive here. Sometimes we all need a "Devil's Advocate" opinion to shake things up and cause us to re-think the issue.

In the grand scheme of things I don't think TB's re-releasing 1 retired bead out of many, many retired beads is going to destroy the collectable market.

I for one Love this forum because we are all different but I do feel that everyone is LOVING and KIND and HELPFUL in their own way no matter the differences.
So I really hope no one feels the need to leave because of that I know I don't

Everybody has his own opinion about it,and i get the feeling all these does more bad things than good things

oh gosh I dont think I want to read the next 18 pages.. mmmm it's good and it's bad, I wonder how you would feel though if you someone else's ring and you want it.. I mean everything is for sale isn't it.. gold diamonds etc.. and yet that person tells you You CANT have it. As it's an exclusive design totally locked to the designer and client. End of story.. so you get someone to copy it.. big deal are you happy now? Look you can have anything you want but not everyone is happy with a copy.. So......... you want the real thing but you don't like the price... you rather have it at the old price.. sorry but is the house you live in the same price it was 10 years ago or even 5? Prices go up and down.. Some beads really attract me but I buy when I can afford it.. if I cant I have to let go of it.. To be honest I am absolutely jumping up and down for money right now spending most of my spare income on trips to my mam as she has bad health but.. I am not going to sell my beads, my house or soul for doing it. Even if I could sell beads at a profit. It's all becoming such a frenzy this bead collecting.. I would say... chill chill chill as TB seems to change their minds at the flick of a button and as such they are controlling the market. I feel that TB is starting to treat us like sheep so we follow look at all the releases! It's not normal to want every one of them since 1976 it's only a piece of jewelry. Sheep jump in front of cars .... they are totally mad when they are free roaming like in Wales, have you looked at your bank balance lately? So it didn't all go in the TB HQ fund but into collectors or traders accounts perhaps that is what really rattled TB.

PS I just went back to pages and I see that the discussion became almost personalised ... I am so sorry to read that I hope we can all stay friends here.. Chill girls..... think about the effect this gossip of TB plans is doing to our own sanity... Not right.. i love you all equally and as kathleen said the yes no.. should stop..on the other hand perhaps it would be wiser to discuss why we can get so upset.. over a piece of silver and glass..

Internet discussions are so difficult because the written word can be interpreted so many different ways. I love the lively discussions with different points of view because it opens my mind to new possibilities. It's sad when people read more into posts than was intended and get hurt feelings. I hope no one decides to leave for good because of this.

After reading through all these pages, I've certainly got mixed emotions about releasing old retired beads. Since the releases of Troll are something I have no control over, I will just wait to see what happens next and enjoy the beads I have.

I think discussion is healthy, but people must work to keep it objective and not take comments personally/emotionally. Everyone is also free not to continue on reading/writing in a thread if they don't want to see or hear anymore of the topic.

As a blogger I like to hear everyone's opinions, and then when I write on my blog I know TB's US & DK are regular readers, and I think it helps to get what collectors are thinking & feeling out to them. I always discern between what is my personal opinion versus what I am reading on the forums.

I still think there is good value in these discussions, and I appreciate other people's opinions even if I do not share them. Indeed this thread has softened my views about rereleases quite a bit.

Absolutely that is what a forum should be discuss "hard" let it rip but remember it's a discussion not to become personalised after all thats what discussions are for to express and learn from each other if possible.

Some members (dutch) have watched gooise vrouwen I am still ploughing my way through it .. but its about friendship and once you make a friendship you go through thick and thin.. silly little outside marketing, well outside our control should not effect the friendliness of our forum. Friends in the making...

I am late to this discussion, at page 18 even beyond fashionably late :-) I am sorry Catsworld left, even happier she has come back.

I love the way this forum can cope with vigorous debate, it really makes it a great place to be. I know it's only daft bits of glass and silver (and gold) but it's the designs that count!

I am in so many minds on the re- releases I have lost track of what I really think. I didn't have a Joyful so I was so pleased to get one at £59 instead of £590 and I thought re-releases were great. OTH I bought a crane at £500 I don't know how I would/will react if they come out next??? I will be pleased for others but also feel a bit of an idiot for myself. :-( but it was my choice to spend that much and only myself to blame, TBHQ will do what they will and I really hope they aren't influenced by the likes of me or the few dealers who profit from the retired Market.

But, so few people have the really old beads like Greenlandic Woman, beer crates and Train that they fan be released again without controversy??

I would also like to thank everyone else for their kindness and support of both Catsworld and myself during this situation, both the public posts and PMs. You all mean so very much to me, and I don't want to lose a one of you. I may not always agree with everyone, but I do respect you all and value each and everyone here. No bead is worth losing a friend over, as is no opinion or post. Totally agree and please know that everyone who is communicating here with English as not their first language is doing a fabulous job and much better than I could ever do with another language!!! lol hear hear it s ok michelle some of us got long TB history.. hiihiihih it only comes out in a while which is why sometime you may see us members having fierce discussions but we tend to trash things out on facebook if necessary most of us are friends.. by now.

That's what I thought at first too MoC, but IMO for trollbeads it's not about re-releasing any old bead ... it's about re-releasing old beads and make a profit.
I think a re-released crane would sell very good, but the bear crates? I don't think they will sell many of them.

It would be fun to guess how many Beer Crates would sell in the whole world. I think it would be less than 20. Greenlandic Woman might be more popular though. I would like to have one even if it was difficult to use in a design.
