Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
Well, i've only been a trollie since last summer so I was over the moon to be able to buy a new Joyful. It's my favourite silver bead now. I've been and said 'thank you' and hope that Trollbeads continue to re-release any of the retired beads that they think will sell. I wonder how many of us have paid £59 for a little blob of silver so far?

Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
If Louise is the source of the comment, then I would definitely NOT trust the info. There is a post somewhere on her forum that first mentioned that Joyful being re-released and she proclaimed utter amazement and that she hadn't heard anything about it. If she was so tight with the top of TB, wouldn't she have known? Is she also the reason that Joyful became available in the US before Mother's Day? Feh... Also I think she claimed credit for suggesting the Breast Cancer ring/prism package and we know that was an epic fail.
I don't care about the perceived value of retireds. The ones that I own with a perceived higher value were ones I paid production price for because I loved them. The fact that I chose Joyful & Crane was either I have funky taste because the beads I loved best were not good sellers or I am WAY before my time! LOL....
I DO believe that TB is capable of producing beautiful, cool TB worthy designs. If you take a look at the recent contest entries, there are realms of untapped designs yet! If TB is feeling stagnant, then maybe they need a some fresh blood designers or go send their current ones on a world tour themselves.
I just worry that if TB tries too hard to reach back for old designs, they will not be able to move forward. Yes, there are other brands to enjoy, but I LIKE TB and don't want them to fail.
I don't know if anyone else got sucked into beanie baby madness, but I joined that late in the game. I purchased what I could get, paid some insane prices for others, but I never heard/read about collectors clamoring for the "good" critters to be re-released!

I love it and will pay TBHQ £££ for a Crane, because I can trust the source, unlike *bay and other secondary sources.
agreed!

I have left my comment on the TB FB page. I sincerely hope TBHQ will continue to re-release special beads.

She claimed credit for making the US Trollies pay a much high price for their Pink Prisms compared to the rest of the world. I can see only one reason for doing that - to maintain the high value of older Pink Prisms to serve the interests of the secondhand market. How can anyone believe that such a person has the interests of customers at heart?

I can't believe that Trollbeads has been so stupid as to be deceived by a secondhand dealer. They will lose so much money by doing this.

They have been stupid for a while. Look at the people's bead contests, and the majority of their new releases.

Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
I suspect that many of the people who were delighted by the Joyful re-release felt that they had to be careful about expressing their pleasure or were even silenced by people saying that the collectors who paid a lot for retired beads would be upset.
I think that has left Trollbeads to totally underestimated how many people were delighted and how many of customers wanted them to re-release more beads.

Well, I'll believe it when I see it! TB turned a fair penny on the re-release of joyful and this may very well be a way to create further demand in the future. I know what they've said but, money is money and TB is looking to make lots and lots of it so, if there is a market for retired beads (which we all know there is...) TBHQ will find some way to capitalize on it! my advise, bide your time...we'll see more of these "long lost", "Back of a drawer" retired releases in the future i'm sure.

Re: I have HUGE news about re-released beads.
@Soxfan - definitely worth a try! I also "liked" all the other comments about the re-release.
TBH, I wouldn't care all that much (I never thought to afford a crane bead, so not having it re-released doesn't change much for me), if it weren't for that blog Ms. Rogers posted. That just fires me up and makes me want to protest.

Have I misread this?
So rumour has been put out that Trollbeads will not be re-releasing any more retireds so we'll consider again paying top whack for them from other sources?

It was a self serving post. All about her and her buying and selling retired beads. Is she the spokesperson for TBHQ now? Has TBHQ posted anywhere about this? All the info we have heard seems to have come from Louise.Wintertroll wrote:@Soxfan - definitely worth a try! I also "liked" all the other comments about the re-release.

I seem to remember that her blog ends with her saying that if we do want to buy some retired beads we can all be happy little ducklings and buy them from her.
