Sneak peek photos - please read

Dear Members.


BeadThrilled goes to many lengths to secure the sneek peek photos for your enjoyment.

However, these photos are to stay only within BeadThrilled, and NOT to be re-produced within other forums or social networking pages. It saddens me to see BeadThrilleds watermarked images appearing on Facebook groups etc.

Should these images continue to be re-posted outside of BeadThrilled, then we may not be able to secure future release photos, which would be a shame to spoil the fun for all our members.

I'm sorry to hear that such behavior occurred.

I have greatly enjoyed having the "sneak peeks" and would be so disappointed if they had to be discontinued. However, I do understand why such a decision would need to be made if the pics continue to be leaked. I certainly hope no future leaks will occur so that we may all continue to enjoy them.

Well said! One can only guess at the motivations of people who do this in spite of clear instructions not to.

What a shame that this is happening, hopefully it will stop. Many thanks to our Sherlocks for their great work!

Totally agree. I actually think there should be some sort of penalty for this. Especially after the explicit instructions from Sita. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THESE PICTURES ANYWHERE...Come on, how hard is that to comprehend??? Shame that one person can ruin it for alot of others.

Me too, it's not rocket science. The pictures are just for LOOKING

It is impossible to save images off certain commercial sites. Could anything be done to prevent people saving photos from the forum?

Is there a way that the site can protect those pictures from being copied? I know it might be difficult but perhaps that can be done? I know it shouldn't even be necessary I hope the person who did this reads this and stops doing it!

Looking at this the other way round, the person/people who have copied and pasted may think 'Why should I not do this? Trollbeads said not to reveal their photos before release date. Sherlock has refused to respect this. Beadthrilled has posted images that were not meant to be shown. Why may I not do it too? My friends also want to know.'

Did the original request state the reason? Did it say very clearly - if you re-post these images, we are unlikely to be able to obtain them next time? Sorry but I don't have time to check before work.

I love our sneak peaks & I agree they shouldn't be shared

I totally agree - I would be sorry if we didn't get the sneak peeks. It's actually most of the fun in new releases

This is a valid question BB. No, it did not state specifically in the RAF post that if members are to repost the picture elsewhere, they jeopardise future scoops. However, aside from that it is common decency to ask permission to repost any picture.

I know lots of websites have 'copy' protection but you can still make a print screen.

Well, I for one don't want to miss out on any sneak peaks so, whatever you have to do to preserve this truly exciting element, please do so! Maybe you should make it available to "senior" members only by way of an email or other means? Whatever the case, I would hate to see this jeopardized because of the mis-guided actions of a few...

Sneak Peaks are so much fun, I too would hate to miss out on them because of the actions of others.

My guess is that many times the people who are using the pictures on these FB forums are unaware that they have done anything wrong. Perhaps the best solution is to institute some type of copy protection on the pictures so they can't be copied. As far as who the culprit is, it is not someone I recognize and I could not find them as a member on this forum, but then again people use different names on different forums.

I agree. is there some way to make them unable to be cut and pasted or a screen shot done?

The Sneak Peeks are Appreciated!
I hardly mention to anyone that I have seen them (that includes other forums, friends, family, local dealers.
Trollbeads is something I mumble to myself about mostly!
