New bracelet to be released...

I popped into my local retailer in my lunch break today and she said that trollbeads are releasing a new chain, this time a shiny one. That is all I know, I have no idea when or what it will look like but sounds interesting none the less!

That is very interesting, have not heard anything about this yet...

Could it mean they're finally offering a sterling silver, rhodium plated chain? That would mean that at least the gold beads don't turn black fast on a silver chain like they do now...

I don't think I have any rhodium plated jewellery, is it durable?

It would be nice to be able to put gold beads on a silver chain without them going black :-)

I wonder if this is related to the rumors from earlier in the year that TBs was going to test some "shiny" beads in a part of the UK??

Shiny chain, shiny beads... could be interesting.

Interesting... I really don't like shiny, but I would buy the chain if it kept my gold from darkening.
btw...is there a safe way to clean gold at home?

I would prefer a bangle instead, imagine one with little Troll-faces/heads on the ends instead of the round balls like many of the other companies do.

That would be amazing. I would definitely go for one of those.

Didn't hear anything from my LD, was just there yesterday. But could be interesting.

I'm not one for too much shine on my beads but a bracelet could be nice.

Would be news to me. We are pretty connected with what is going on and have heard nothing of this. As a trollbeads retailer I would hate to stock another finish bracelet.

A new chain will be very interesting to see- and I'd love to see this idea of the bangle!

The shiny finish "test bead" was rumored to be a UK only trial...

I think they will launch a new range in the near future. Universal Unique is just the beginning of Trollbeads turning more and more torwards Pandora. Shiny bracelets and beads sound also very "pandorish"to me

Personally I don't think Troll will go this route. They are masters of their niche market and know that at this point the only thing differentiating them from 100 other beaded "brands" is their old fashioned, rustic look and the types of themes they use. They really play on being The Original brand and I think they will stay true to it.

However Chamilia is just releasing a new type of silver bracelet.... maybe the rumors were mixed up over which brand was doing what.

I think so too, unfortunately....I think TB is doing whatever they can to stay competitive. Personally, I like the darker finish and the darker themes that made Trollbeads what it is today, but I think many of the younger demographic go for the shiny bling, a la Pandora, so TB is trying to attract them to the brand...

I hope that by attracting new customers they do not start alienating their loyal customer base. Hope they are not losing the artistic roots the founding company was based on. That would be a terrible shame.
