Trollbeads will release limited edition Chinese Zodiac beads

So they have arrived in Germany and on that site....
The Chinese silvers were sold for 38 € and they are IMHO some of the best silvers ever.
The new Chinese zodiacs are said to be smaller, but sell for 52 €.
Will better hold further jugdement till I've seen them IRL - some eyes look terrifying in the stock pics though.

Do I spot Eeyore in one of the beads ?

Jules, that is what I will probably do, but first I want to see them irl...maybe I just don't buy any at all...

I want IRL pics!! *sigh* the more I look at them (and TB Singapore posted individual pics of each bead) the more I think that they don't look very detailed and with them being smaller than the original Chinese silvers they won't look as good. so that may be good for my wallet as I may be able to resist this set. I guess I should hold judgment until I see what they actually look like but the more I think about it the more disappointed I am with the press release!

What a shame that they won't match the other Chinese silvers. I was going to buy a couple to enhance my set.

Guess we will have to stick to Jugend and Paradise Birds for mixing with the Chinese silvers.
But the smaller size could be useful in other designs, more like spacers than leading role beads.

These Chinese Zodiacs all look like vacant-eyed zombies! And the rabbit's ears are too short.

Eyes are difficult. Most of the Buddha beads I've seen have ghoulish eyes.

I would prefer to pay a wee bit less for spacers, even special zombified ones.

I will have to wait to see them in person but so far many do not appeal to me:
horse which is what I am but it looks like a donkey/burro rather than a horse; rat and tiger are too plain; monkey looks like puppy dogs; dog looks like nothing or at the very least a cartoon type of dog-disappointing; rabbit is ok but looks more like a kangaroo I really want to like these. Like someone else mentioned, do you get the set or just the ones you like

I've ordered my sign from my LD so i'm hoping it will be an extremely large spacer without the ghoulish eyes! lol!

Seriously, I have a thing for the Chinese zodiac so I will valiantly try to get these one at a time, save for hopeful Hong Kong beads and a new Louis Vuitton purse in April. Egads!

Kitsunegrl, I have a thing for the Chinese Zodiac too, which is weird because I have zip interest in the traditional zodiac! Anway, zombie, too small, too cartoony they are on the way, the whole set sight unseen and I can hardly wait. I was going to buy one bead at a time, but I sold almost all my Pandora! I think it will be a good trade off for me seeing as how I never wear the Pandora anymore.

I am a tiger and the tiger bead looks like Simba from the Lion King. I think, like every other zodiac release from troll, that I will likely pass on these.
