This,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wicker_Man_%281973_film%29
I won't spoil it, but I first saw it at 12/13? and it's chilling, definately not a 'Hollywood' film.
Oh and TY xx

Well, they seem to like cooking so, I'd be in big trouble.
Actually when we first moved here and I saw this in a parade
I burst out laughing and shouted out 'argh it's the wicker man!!' and everyone around me just turned and looked at me. Which made me laugh harder

They are traditionally associated with May Day celebrations all over the world. They are popular here in the South West. Have a look on Wikipedia under Hobby Horse, there are lots of examples of real horses skulls used. The Minehead Hobby Horse is the nearest to me and isn't at all scary.

Eeeeek! (The Wiki site does not have a German equivalent, so I hope I'm excused for my previous ignorance - and now, where can I get that movie, lol)

Well, I've learnt something today, so it's a mast horse or a wild horse from the mummers play. Can I have a house point?

As they say in the movie he came to that point by his own free will, or else he would have been no use

Well, animals are fine, but their acceptability is limited. A little child is
even better, but not NEARLY as effective as the right kind of adult.
Do you think Edward ever understood the true nature of sacrifice?
"Mwahahahaahhaha".
