Re: About tulips....
That is not true. I was having the same idea for a moment that the tulip finally got retired when I read so on a certain jeweler's site, but the tulip is nonetheless still widely available. There are several online jewelers selling them but their shipping costs are quite high. If there's no haste to get a tulip I can also arrange to bring some to the german convention. Otherwise I'm also happy to help out on shipping tulips!GRUMPY wrote:quick question IS THE DUTCH TULIP ACTUALLY RETIRED?
this is what I got back from an ebayer because they stated it is retired.
Dear *******,
the btulip came out in 2009 ,they were limited made and only for the dutch ,so when the books were sold out it was retired in 2010,

Of course I can also buy and resell them on eBay...
Re: About tulips....
I wonder if there is some difference in what people are taking as the meaning of retired. I think from Trollbeads company standpoint it means they have stopped making them. The bead may still be in the supply chain and at the stores. There were a big bunch of beads retired in early 2010. Last summer for a Trunk Show my LD ordered in beads including some that had been part of that retirement group. They suddenly had beads they hadn't had the week before, and were in the Trollbeads Museum. So no longer made, but still at the Canadian distributor.
Also I have just been back reading my previous post on this subject and I made a mistake. The Museum is categorized by the year a bead is released. For beads from the regular collection they state the year it left the collection. For limited editions and such they just describe and don't say when it left the collection.

Re: About tulips....
I was so fortunate to have a friend who had a friend that was able to get my TB Tulip for me. I even got the book! Yippee!! I almost didn't want to take it out of the box because it all looked so nice. But I'm sure you know how long that lasted..........

Re: About tulips....
I really didn't realise there were so many different tulip beads - I think I might just have to have one of each as they are my favourite flower! I thought the TB Tulip was particularly hard to find so hadn't tried to source one, but that's now top of my wish list!

Re: About tulips....
Some lovely tulip beads. Also appropriate for the annual Tulip Festival in Ottawa, Canada.
I have the Pandora tulip dangle bead, but I'm not thrilled with it. It looks great in the stock photo, but IRL it tend to get caught up on its own loop and does not dangle freely.

Does anyone know if the Trollbeads Tulip bead is one I could easily find when I'm in the Netherlands, or is not a current bead?? (thanks in advance!)

Re: About tulips....
It is rather easy to find one indeed. At least when you're near the touristic cities. And here we're always happy to help out if you miss it.Artemis wrote:Even if it isn't then you can still purchase them via Beadthrilled....I'm sure someone in the Netherlands can help more!Mini Gnome wrote:Does anyone know if the Trollbeads Tulip bead is one I could easily find when I'm in the Netherlands, or is not a current bead?? Just to let everyone know, the Limited Edition Holland TB silver Tulip, plus I Trollbeads book is still available via the Jeroen van der Put webshop for only €39.95, FREE shipping within NL.
Site is in Dutch (and I'm not able to post links yet), but I'm happy to Trollfairy, if desired.
