Re: My Most Favorite Troll Locks
Love the anniversary lock, it's so troll looking plus really sturdy. I love the look of the greyhound
but find it difficult to open and close, also the bracelet I put it on is too big so really need to
have it redone. Love the Chesslock and Tulip wish I had one, maybe one day.
Marty there was a tread at one time here, I think perhaps by Sita showing what I think I remember
some doors in Denmark which have Greyhounds carved on them. I believe that was the inspiration
for the lock.

Thanks so much for the information, Zuzu!!! I've always wondered where the idea came from! :-)

Nancy, Ebay is one source for the locks....but I swapped for mine. Of mine, Tulip was the most expensive, followed by the chess lock. Bead Sensation does have a Chess lock for sale now. Happy hunting! :-)

I have the lace lock now. and want the pearl lock in silver in the future. not many locks i like, im afraid. well, at least for now. collection items have a way of growing on us and making us want to have them all with time! even if it wasnt your original plan!!!
Engel, have you seen this on D4E??? Amazing price on the Greyhound lock!
http://www.diamonds4ever.dk/greyhound_lock_rare_trollbead_lock-p-3942.html
Thank you! another member sent me this by pm, and I just saw this now on here!!! but thanks for sharing as well! I just ordered two of them!
Now I will have a quest for a new lock, tulip, chess or troll lock. I know, I am
but the greyhound was like a dream and now I have 2 of them on my way, so who knows, maybe someday I can own one of those 3 as well!

I just checked there, they have both the chess and the troll lock, also the greyhound, really expensivier than in D4E
I ordered my german clover and book from them, but I saw many beads they sell go for way way cheapper in other places, their skeleton necklace is also the expensivier one i saw, so I will think 3 times before buying from them in the future, and make tons of research to see if I can find what I want elsewhere

I really like the freya lock, but I'm always worried that it will break.
I love the tulip lock too, but OMG they're expensive! But how can I forget Mexican? He is a wonderful lock.

Oddly enough, although I love my new Troll and Mexico Locks, I am really fondest of the Swan Lock.
I would love to have a Tulip Lock but doubt whether I ever will.

I have two of the anniversary troll locks but I'm on the fence if I like them. I think that I would use the greyhound lock a lot. That is on my wish list.
I'd be happy to push you off the fence - you don't like the troll locks THAT much, at least not enough to have TWO - and buy one of them from you. Then you can put those funds towards the greyhound lock

Re: My Most Favorite Troll Locks
I really like the Mexico lock and the Lace lock.
The Mexico because it's so fiery and colorful, mine is green/blue on one side and orangey/pink on the other.
The Lace lock because it's so versatile and goes with everything.
My dream locks are the Anniversary Troll and the Tulip.
I debated over the Greyhound, but in the end decided for now to wait. It seems quite big, and maybe that works OK, but I'd rather build up a collection of beads first...
OH AND OF COURSE THE FAERYBEADS DRAGON LOCK!! That is my UTMOST dream lock...CAN'T WAIT to have it in my hot little hands :-) (OK sorry, that's not a Troll lock)

Reading on another topic, is the greyhound or dragon lock official or have you ladies had them specially made?

Re: My Most Favorite Troll Locks
The greyhound lock that most of us have now was a remake by the original silversmith, and is not Troll. My understanding is that the old one was not really Troll, either, but offered by Troll dealers in conjunction with Trollbeads.
The dragon lock that most people are talking about is not Troll, but Faerybeads, a new company that was inspired by this BeadThrilled forum.

Thanks for the info! Has there been an official dragon lock?
