NH Bracelet
Some of you may have seen this posted elsewhere, but I still thought I would share. My attempt at a bracelet to represent my new state/area/home:
Rainbow spiro for the beautiful rainbows; blue flower for all the wild irises and other flowers; glass earth for the undeveloped land here; mink as placeholder - looking for a moose bead; ornament ooak for our gorgeous fall foliage; fur dot for the "dreary" fall/winter days; tiger's eye for all the natural minerals found in NH; castle for Castle in the Clouds - I can see it from my picture window; teal wave/zigzag and two UUs for all the lakes and their variations in color; loon for the most watched species here; quilted bead for Keepsake Quilting Shop - the mecca of shops for all quilters; clear champagne bubbles UU for the clean, smog free air; LE Pink Flower Diamond for the Lady Slipper orchids that grow in the wild; ice bear for the black bear that wandered through our back yard last month; new blue/green UU for the mountains and trees reaching into the sky; white based blue spiro for the beautiful blue sky and wispy white clouds; and finally milky way for the clear, dark nights where the milky way can be seen.
It has been suggested that I might want to switch out the loon in the winter as they migrate south - perhaps I will have to put snow or snowball or snowman on my wish list for this winter...and I didn't think of it until after I put this together that a Maple Syrup Amber would represent all the maple sugaring done here so that will have to go on my wish list as well.
BTW, glass beads 8, 9, 11, 13 and 14 are all new UUs. I went to a special event yesterday and saw hundreds, maybe thousands of new UUs - it was totally overwhelming. Interestingly enough, there were no dillos, scales or spiders but there were a number of champagne bubbles and dotty beads in a variety of colors. The fact that there were so many of them kind of took the appeal out of them for me, although I did succumb to the clear bubble bead. Maybe that is because there just aren't any clear beads and that held appeal to me. There were some really beautiful beads and some beads that reminded me of the pattern of the Baltic colors bead, but with different color combinations. Just thought I would share...

Re: NH Bracelet
Fantastic bracelet Alicia! I think the state theme was a terrific idea, and very nicely executed. I saw the moose bead too. I think Eeyore posted it along with some other wildlife beads.

I love themed bracelets and this one's beautiful! It sounds like you moved to a beautiful place. I hope you're enjoying your new home thoroughly . Your new UU's are gorgeous too, especially the clear bubble bead. Could you maybe post a close up pic of the loon bead if you have time? It looks interesting .
I think it was neonfiller who initially posted about her moose bead (among others), did you see that post?

Re: NH Bracelet
Fabulous!
I recently adopted different designed bracelets. I used to do mostly mono color themed bracelets but I'm again so hooked to my anniversary bracelet and my USA bracelet...

Here's the thread from tonton with the Moose beads:

What a great tribute! Living in Massachusetts, I've always thought of New Hampshire as the state to go to for fun. No sales tax too!

The "no sales tax" is such a nice bennie, too!! I never imagined I would end up in a "destination" area - we really thought we would move south, but...never say never is now my motto!!
Thank you for all the compliments!! I am following the moose thread as well and hope to be able to get one of those as it has a full body and looks kind of comical, which is how I picture moose. I do realize that they are a hazard and maybe not as cute and comical up close, but...for now I picture them as Bullwinkle (notwithstanding the fact that I have had moose stew - after I got past the part of eating Bullwinkle (kind of like eating Bambi) - and it was absolutely delicious!!). In the meantime I am leaving "mink" on there as there are wild mink in NH and I added a hydrangea bead to offset the stopper, as it was a bit short, for the thousands of hydrangea shrubs around here.
workerb4troll - A number of people have asked me where I got my loon so I have been referring them to the shop (Do I get a commission?? Beads, maybe?? Can't blame an addict for trying!!)

Lovely combo. I am impressed with all the meaning and thought you have put into the design. I agree, you need a maple syrup amber.

What a great not to mention very pretty representation of your state! I love New Hampshire. My sister used to work at the Balsams, I loved visiting her there!
Re: NH Bracelet
For Naranja, here is another shot of the loon:

You can also see its little feet in the reflection. The detail is amazing!!

Thank you so much, capesandra!! I made one more little tweak to the bracelet - I am using my new Trolltree lock to represent the millions of trees!! I will have to try moose sausage sometime!
