Oh lucky girl Shia! Tell me please, are you having it put on a bracelet, or putting clasps on both ends?

Good to hear another lock has arrived safely. My greyhound lock is at the jewelers. Hopefully it will be done this week and I can take pictures on Friday.

Where did you take yours? I'm not trusting jewelers in Laramie, and need someone to attach mine as well!!

There is a place here called Bohemian Metals. He does custom jewelry. I would say most his pieces are one of a kind. They are beautiful. Pictures after I get it back.

Re: Greyhound Lock has arrived
Okay, I took my lock to a jewelery shop who said they could put two clasps on for £42 . Is it just me or do you think they were asking too much.

Glad i'm not the only one who thinks that. I guess I will have to check somewhere. In the meantime I will admire the lock in its little plastic ziplock .

Mine charged £30 and the type of clasp seemed to make no difference to the cost.

Re: Greyhound Lock has arrived
The jeweler that I took my clasp too will charge $20. I did supply the clasps. I guess I need to add the cost of the clasps, $22 when I bought it. But still a bit cheaper than your quote.Brightonbelle wrote:shia wrote:Okay, I took my lock to a jewelery shop who said they could put two clasps on for £42 . Re: Greyhound Lock has arrived
Shia, if you like I can have it done for you here in the Neths like pictured at the new thread. Then you'd send me the one you have and you'll get it attached back the way you'd like.

It can be done whenever you like, but I'm going to deliver the other ones at my jeweler on tuesday.

They add even more length to the lock leaving a bigger section that you can't use for beads.
