Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
The D4E site states the Bicones are stamped Glad 925. Does anyone own the "new" Glad bicones? and do they look identical to the old?

Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
The problem with the bicones is that ALL are stamped GLAD925.
On another forum we tried to find the difference : some of the new ones are smaller - but not all. Does that mean the bigger new ones are old stock ?
We could never figure it out

Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
I just ordered one (5 minutes ago, so can't share yet), on the site it said:DblJJ wrote:The D4E site states the Bicones are stamped Glad 925. Does anyone own the "new" Glad bicones? and do they look identical to the old?
This is a remake of the original design and made by the designer himself, Lars Glad.
It is the original mould that is used for these beads and is therefore the same as the original Bicone.
These are stamped Glad 925

Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
On another Forum it says that some of the old bicones are not stamped and one person has one with SN on. Its all so confusing! I don't have any so I can't help other than say what I have read elsewhere.
Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
My new greyhound has arrived and he is stamped if that helps. My eyes are so terrible at the moment I can't make out what it says though!!
Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
Hello, this is my first post on this forum, I actually found it while googling informations on the greyhound lock, as I really really want one, and have no idea where to find it.
would be trully grateful if someone pointed me into the right direction.
ps: I don´t mind if it is a re-make or the retired one, as long as its made by the original artist. max anderson, if I am understanding right the information in here.
p.ps: Merry Christmas!!!

Hi, Engel!
This is the best forum for information on Trollbeads worldwide. Glad you found us! I would have suggested this resource eventually, just hadn't gotten to it. Right now, I'm taking a break from wrapping presents.
Our admin here sometimes does group orders for us on special items like the greyhound lock or World Tour beads. I don't know if she has another greyhound lock order upcoming or not.
You won't be able to access those threads or join in the group order until you've established yourself as a member. Which means participating in the forum, making a certain number of posts (100?), and generally letting us get to know you.
start out by introducing yourself here
http://www.beadthrilled.com/f6-beadthrilled-community-center
Just start a new topic and say hello, tell us a bit about yourself.
Meanwhile, keep checking D4E, they might get some locks in stock.

Greyhound locks often turn up on auction sites like Ebay. You just missed a gold one, it was gorgeous!

I ordered mine directly from Lars and mine say Glad 925 ... I had an original one that I found in a shop and sold ... but I can't remember what it was stamped with and I just looked up the photos of it and unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the stamp from what I remember they look identical

This is how my lock came:
This is after I had the jeweller modify it so I can change my beads.

Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
these are beautiful, but I have to ask! is there a reason they're called 'greyhound locks'? they look nothing like greyhounds to me, I keep turning my head and trying to see!

How much shorter than your usual chain you went for this one?
Re: 'New' Greyhound Locks
Coming to this thread, that was the first place I posted in the whole forum, just to say that I ordered 2 greyhound locks from D4E!!! I can´t wait for them to arrive! It is like christmas all over again! they are the most beautiful locks for troll EVER , that is IMHO of course!

Go down towards the bottom and click on church detail the 2nd pic, and I think you will see the greyhounds...let me know if this helps a bit.

I am just to get mine made on a bracelet permanantly it is a rerelease one and it say MAX A. and under 925s just on the lock side with the moving clip.
I read this topic again
I have a old black bicone that is not stamped and one white one wich is not ether. I have a rerelease white one wich is clear stamped GLAD 925.
Also is there any failure problems with this greyhound lock?
And shall I leave the stopper on the bracelet?
