Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Personally, I think the bead is very pretty, and the lock is pretty too. Would I want to buy them both? I don't know yet. I definitely don't want another chain, but with promo bracelets, they usually discount them enough to basically be getting the chain for a song. It is a great promo bracelet in that the new lock and new bead are probably both largely appealing to the masses. I just think the masses should have a say, if they only want to purchase one piece, rather than the whole kit n kaboodle. Not to mention... they are cutting off their nose to spite their face, so to speak, by arranging it so that people can't realistically buy multiples of the glass bead.

Yes, I meant exactly what Brightonbelle already saidBrightonbelle wrote:
I am waiting to hear the price before I decide whether this is really good or bad. The Aurora/Bangle deal was expensive if you already had a bangle. If the chain is free in this case and the other 2 components are reasonable prices it might be OK. The problem comes if you want two or more beads, only one lock and no chain at all.

I wonder if they consider the fact that many collectors do like to have multiples? It does seem odd as you would think they would realize that this would be a coveted bead.HeatherD wrote: Not to mention... they are cutting off their nose to spite their face, so to speak, by arranging it so that people can't realistically buy multiples of the glass bead.
Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
From the pics the lock looks like a real must have, and I really like this design (but I've always have had something with flowers LOL,)
The facetted aurora might not be bad at all, but so far the Aurora (which my LD was so kind enough to sell to me without the bangle), still hasn't found it's way to a (permanent) combination.
And sure, there is nothing wrong with an extra bracelet, but I can't help thinking that the more bracelets they offer as 'starter bracelet', the quality will be not the quality of bracelets that we are used to.
The discounted price (for a starter bracelet with beads) has to come from somewhere, and I'm sure it is not Trollbeads who will pay for this, but definitely the customers - us Trollbeadsfans that is........

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
I think the new starters bracelet is a great idea, if you want a full new bracelet or you're just starting it is great. BUT I think they should give people who have been collecting for a long time also a chance to buy them on their own. I don't need a lot of different silver bracelets, I use my bangle for mini combos and silver for full. I don't wear 2 silver bracelets at the same time. The only reason why I'd want a new silver bracelet would be for the greyhound lock. I'd like the aurora but I'm not sure about the lock...

Yes the bead should be offered as part of the bracelet deal AND separately.Madelonnetje wrote:I think the new starters bracelet is a great idea, if you want a full new bracelet or you're just starting it is great. I think the bead and lock look great, and an extra chain is always useful, or can be gifted!! Mind you, if anyone has a bead they don't want, I love multiples so there is a welcoming home here......

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Maybe by limiting the bead to a set, it becomes rare at the retail level. If you want it, you need to pay the retailer instead of a reseller. (Unless you have a forum agreement). I am not saying that the bead is a limited edition...it is just that collectors will buy it or they won't. If the faceted Aurora was $43, people could buy many multiples, but if it were $150 (a guess), that presents a problem to those who like multiples and have a limited budget. Then again, the kit that is coming out is nice and would be appropriate. I'm rambling here....strike wrote:I wonder if they consider the fact that many collectors do like to have multiples? Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Isn't the lock in the current started bracelet on the thinner or cheaper side? Looking at the pictures, the lock looks premium...I can't imagine that the chain could be thinner. That would be dangerous.Daisylove wrote:From the pics the lock looks like a real must have, and I really like this design (but I've always have had something with flowers LOL,)

Gah! So impatient, just hoping to see these in real life, the X by Trollbeads is very intriguing, I might have to hang onto my purse until I see that... Or it will be totally ridiculous

As people here i am not sure i would like to buy the starter bracelet... i am very interesting about the lock cause red poppy is my favourite flower... a summer flower, as i am born on july this is a must have lock.
So many beautifull beads... I will have to be patient and save money

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
If this is any indication of what is to follow with the other releases, this could be a really great season for new releases. I more excited than I have been in awhile. As much as I really want to go out and take advantage of the next trunk show for four silver flower beads, part of me wants to wait for the November/December trunk show. I look forward to the People's Bead. This year, I participated in entering and voting. I am rooting for certain beads and designers, so it adds that extra element of excitement and even pride.

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
What i think....they first do this...they want to sell more to give it as a set...after a while you can buy them single...i know trollbeads now long enough to don,t trust them anymore. You don,t think they take such a lock in production for a small ammount, that,s too expensive....

There don't appear to be any gold beads in this release?

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
It's unusual for a major release not to include gold versions of one or two of the silver beads. Not that I want to see Grandma and Grandpa in gold, but Skeleton Spirit might be cool in goldjanmat1 wrote:I don't believe there are any gold beads.Mouseoncheese wrote:There don't appear to be any gold beads in this release?

Well, TB only had gold babies with the parents
then released the silver. There's hope, I guess.
