Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
As a first-timer, a huge thanks to all Sherlocks for the sneak peek - nice work!
Curious to see the flower beads IRL.
From the pic the Sapphire looks anaemic and in need of an injection of colour. I was hoping it would look a bit more "alive", but hey, that's just my humble opinion.

You made me chuckle! It looks to be in 2 parts but could also mean this:Michelle wrote:Is a 2 bit diamond.Monique26 wrote:What is that silver pictured next to the crown?

The purple heaven beads may look perfect with the aurora bead, but the pearl flowers??? I really dont know if I like them.

I like the crown and am excited for it - but still do not know what a 2 bit is in terms of the new bead.

Yes, I think so. I am hoping though that IRL at least some of the beads will have some colour or an attractive glow and somehow "come to life"...

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
I think you're probably right about these being low-quality sapphires, especially if they are the same size as the other faceted gemstones. To have sapphires that size and keep them at all semi-reasonably priced, I would think they'd have to use low-grade ones. If they wanted a nice blue gemstone, it's too bad they didn't go with lapis, which is much more reasonably priced and lovely to boot.Brightonbelle wrote:As sapphire is an expensive gemstone, I think that we have to be prepared for these being very bad sapphires?Tout_ce_qui_brille wrote:As a first-timer, a huge thanks to all Sherlocks for the sneak peek - nice work!

Lapis lazuli would be great.

That would be fantastic. Come on Trollbeads, put that idea right into production!Brightonbelle wrote:Yes - rich blue with gold highlights.Kimberly Campbell wrote:I think you're probably right about these being low-quality sapphires, especially if they are the same size as the other faceted gemstones. I would like a lapiz lazuli bead, I am expecting the sapphire to be the same price as the ruby, but I was also expecting it to look blue not grey.

My guess is that it will be the same price group as the Ruby (with a silver core).cottinghamgirl wrote:I would like a lapiz lazuli bead, I am expecting the sapphire to be the same price as the ruby, but I was also expecting it to look blue not grey.

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Thanks for the pictures! I love all the glass and the lock. So many new locks recently....I don't hve enough bracelets to wear them on. I'm not so sure about the flowers yet. They look nice but probably they are expensive because of the Pearls. A bit too much to have a bracelet full of them, which would have been nice. I'm not so enthousiastic about the rest of the silvers. It will be mostly glass for me this time.

My sister in law had the silver caps come off on both of her leather bracelets and she didn't wear them 24/7!Michelle wrote:I use the plain lock on my old leathers it is ok.
Has the silver caps end come off any leathers? I want to wear mine 24/7
What we did was to cut in small slits in the ends like the very first version of the leather bracelets had. It's a bit difficult to get the small end of the lock in, but if you plan to wear it non-stop, it doesn't matter anyway!

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Thanks for the preview, Sherlock & Sita! I like some of the glass, the triangular one looks very much like a Mary V. Smith bead (you remember my black triangular smiley by her?). She has no more items in her etsy shop, perhaps she's designing for TB now ?
The diamond is another boring variation of those uncomfortable 2 part beads like the house or the heart, who needs more family beads and pacmans? Like the small crown ,you can use it for Mr. Skelly on Dia de los Muertos

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and a big thanks to Sita and Sherlock for the preview! I had a question about the Purple Heaven kit - in the individual pictures there are two flower beads on the right that are not present in the kit picture, instead there's two other white beads (one with purple flowers and another looks like the floating seeds bead). Which glass beads will be included in the Purple Heaven kit?

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
There are two beads, a purple flower on white and purplish shades on white, which you can see in the picture of the kit, but which are missing from the overview. Additionally two facetted stone beads are missing too. Should my internet come back up running as it should then I'll be adding the missing pics.
Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
I'm very pleased with quite a few of these beads. I love the skeleton! The red, yellow, and green Native beads with spots are pretty cool. The crown is a must-have. Its smaller than what I would have wished for, but a must-have just the same. The etched glass is lovely.
I think that the silver flower of the month beads are likely to do well because there are probably many people who would buy them either for themselves or for gifts for people in those birth months, or wedding months, etc. They are also impersonal enough, (and pretty enough) for anyone to use without any specific attachment to a certain month.
There are a few beads here that I have no interest in, but all-in-all, it's a pretty cool release. I still favor the more trollish designs. A troll in a trash can like Nicholas A. wears would be welcomed, and I certainly would shell out a small fortune for the oversized phoenix that he wears.
Thanks so much for the sneak peak!!!!

Thanks! I was wondering about that. So are the two other engraved flower beads not part of the kit?Smaug wrote:There are two beads, a purple flower on white and purplish shades on white, which you can see in the picture of the kit, but which are missing from the overview. Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Thanks for the pics:hug:
Will definitely be buying the black/grey leather, Sapphire and Rose with pearl. I've just completed an all pearl bracelet but it could do with a centre bead so the Rose will be perfect for me. I actually wouldn't be too disappointed with a grey/blue Sapphire at regular gemstone price:lol:
A question about leather bracelets ..... if you wear a 17 cm silver bracelet, which size leather do you usually go for?

Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
Interesting that you mention him, as I just saw that he is listed as the designer for the "Mrs Pacman" bead. I am curious what the story behind that bead is suppose to be.ZAKLINZ wrote: A troll in a trash can like Nicholas A. wears would be welcomed, and I certainly would shell out a small fortune for the oversized phoenix that he wears.
Re: Trollbeads Fall 2013 sneak peek
I wear a 17cm (including lock) bracelet when I'm wearing 4 or 5 beads on it and I wear the smallest leather with two holes cut off. But I wear my bracelets snug.Paixxx wrote:

I'm wondering if the Bindweed is really supposed to be Morning Glory. Same plant family. Gardeners?
