Trollbeads Spring 2013 release details

Both of these locks look like there's a big space between the tails of the dolphin/seahorse and the other side of the lock (the part that moves). It looks almost big enough for the bracelet loop to slip out of.

Nooo! Not UU!! I just realised that the only kit I would be interested in looks to be UU I'm not sure what I would do if this turns out to be true, I really like trollbeads and the rocky beach kit seems to fit my collection, but I don't like bigger cores and certainly not the price that accompanies it!

If you look at the photo of the individual glass beads that Smaug has just added I think that you can see 2 different core sizes there. Sandstone B and Cliff B seem to have smaller cores that the A beads of those designs.

Just been looking at my leather bracelets with a magnifying glass and can see that they are constructed by two surfaces being glued together .... my guess is that the new two-toned ones will be exactly the same thickness as the ones already in the range, just two different colours spliced together rather than one. could look nice when twisted or even knotted with beads

And there is 8 rocky beads showing so 2 can be UU? I like the desins of a and b both and will like to buy both if they are CC. It is a trick to get me to buy UU

In the photo dose stone flower and pebbles look of UU core also? In the kit photo it is in the front and is same as cliff bead.

Do you think it's a marketing test to see which is more popular? Like a Battle of the Beads? eeek!!

I have just vowed to buy only 2 beads per release. Perhaps those are the 2?

I think you might be right and that makes me sad, because I like the others from the kit very much as well.

The other kit seems to be all classic core accept the b version. I find this a strange marketing choice if it turns out to be true!

I'm considering rebelling against the rocky beach kit as it is starting to upset me. I am thinking a bracelet with the two bumpy beads from the other kit with the brown jasper from the autumn release.... That's if it turns out to be UU...

Not really a fan of universal cores but that rocky beach kit is really something Amazing!

The recent Christmas glass release was gray/brown and attracted a lot of people.

Browns are neutral and will go with just about anything! Earth and sky...

I am thinking of age group. My ld girls are young and will like girly beads and girly colors they dont like brown so much. So if tb is trying to get new people it will be a younger age market? Also the happy summer kit is so like many trollbeads already and the rock kit is diffrent to them so for if you collect a long time a diffrent desin is better for old collecters?

Perhaps Holding onto Love was the Apocalypse bead!

Looking at the new individual pics, the Rocky Road is spectacular...regardless of core size. I think a and b are just different versions...kind of like variations on a theme. The choice of glass seems to be shimmery and/or rock like. It is very impressive. These beads will compliment the picasso jaspers that I have. Cozy would also mix well.

I love the varieties of the glass beads, so I have at least to lose 9 kilos to buy all of which I really want!

Always intriguing to see TB explore new designs, especially in the rock collection. The browns could go well with many non-neutral colors too, like deep blues, reds and greens. The dendritic agate and new locks are great additions, even if the detail on the locks is disappointing. Love the sea-themed silvers, which many have been awaiting. Not so sure about "breakfast". A hungry designer working into the dawn hours?

I went to a Trollbeads event at Trollbeads Gallery, in October. The American CEO of Trollbeads out of New Jersey was there. He told us, to the protests of all the people in the room, that TB will continue to make UUs, to entice Pandora wearers to buy Troll. Everyone tried to tell him that the two are not going to mix. He told us Troll will always make cc beads for us classic purists, but there was alot of UUs mixed in with the trays of uniques, and they were pushing them. The rep. kept telling people UUs were the most beautiful. I sure hope the rocky beach kit is not UU, but I would not be suprised.

I wear Pandora & don't want to mix them with TB.I think most buyers of both think the same.If Pandora buyers go to buy TB they will just go & buy a bracelet & a clasp!

No UU for me.

I was irritated to see the UU cores at first but now I feel as though that kit isn't even a Trollbeads product. If a few of those beads turn out to be CC after all I will go back to considering them. If my choice is severely limited I doubt that I will bother with them.
