Oma's bracelet

This bracelet is for my oma who died almost two years ago. I wrote a little poem to go with it. It's not very good, but meaningful to me.

Met spierwit haar
Vuurvaste handen en twinkeloogjes

Touwtjespringen nog beter

Omas are the best and I can feel in your poem and your bracelet that yours loved you very much

Mine I called Omi and though she has been gone a long time, she still is with me as I can feel yours is still with you

I loved your poem too, I couldn't translate it perfectly into English but the warm and loving sentiment shone through

The combination of deep blue and pure white looks so tender. I can sell how much you loved your oma.

I feel I know your Oma, she seems just like mine, who is dead now nearly thirty years but I still smile back when I remember the smile in her green eyes. That's what poems are all about anyway, our deepest sentiments - it's lovely, just like the combo you made for her!

I am sure your Oma would have loved it and looking down I bet she smiles seeing how you still care for her with your poem - lovely bracelet!

Thank you Sil . My oma collected tin decorations such as roses and glass vases with a tin layer, but she wasn't used to buying things as she never had much to spend. I think my grandparents had blue/white tiles in their fire place and kitchen before their house was renovated but I wasn't born then.
