Re: Baby's breath bead
Can anyone explain to me why the rings have not simply been melted down for reuse of the silver?

Re: Baby's breath bead
No kidding...melt the silver and make a proper mold. I have to think Goldmine saw the poor quality and opted to give it as a freebie instead of charging for it. I have to commend them forit. That is why I am keeping my two. I was fortunate that one was really nice and was able to give it as a gift. The other two have some defects, but I will live with it.

Here is a picture of two very nicely done beads and the one that I plan to bring to Trollbeads Fest and show to Mr. Belliveau, the US TB CEO, if the opportunity presents itself!

How did the one in the middle get past QC? I am surprised that the dealers didn't reject beads like that one, no one would be happy with that! Keep us posted on how you get on at the Trollbeads Fest!

Re: Baby's breath bead
Oh please ! You have to show him that !
I can't help but wonder, if you were packing up someones order and you put that in, how can you think they would accept it ? First of all quality control at where ever it was made should have picked it up and thrown it out, but the dealer sending it out should have seen it wasn't acceptable !

Re: Baby's breath bead
I am becoming very annoyed with the poor quality control at TBs, if it isn't chips around the core of the bead, its loose cores or poorly finished silver beads. Just received my BB, that I did buy as I thought it was an actual new bead, the flowers are well defined but it isn't round and there is a gap where it was not properly soldered. I can't remember who said it but I agree that we all should send these inferior beads back to TB headquarters, which I would like to do only I don't know where to send it!

WOW! You got a rare melted beyond recognition bead! Seriously, the welder must have had fun with that one. It looks like a piece of flux someone would throw away after a bad practice of soldering!
I made a bead like that when I modded my brother's XBOX controller.

Wow! That middle one is just awful. I'm surprised that nobody caught it before it went out.
The ones on the ends look quite pretty, though.

Re: Baby's breath bead
You know, before it even got in our hands...the LD's should have sent them back themselves. Perhaps it's why they are a gift. I happened to get a very pretty one, but some you all are showing...just sad!

I would love to know what Mr Belliveau US TB CEO thinks of this addition to the LE Troll range... Although my 3 are quite nice (I can see where they've been soldered together on the inside) some that I've seen are shameful and considering Troll are now a LUXURY brand I think he should be embarrassed by this release. There's absolutely no way they can compared to the Dutch tulip or German clover releases.
I'm all for recycling but this really seems to have been a hash job.

Re: Baby's breath bead
My 2 have arrived and are very different in size.
The larger one nice. The smaller one is absolutely tiny and has quite a lot of the yellowish solder on it, luckily mostly where it wouldn't be seen when worn.
Happily they were both Goldmine freebies with orders that I intended to place anyway so I have no cause for annoyance.
If I had paid for the beads I would have been a bit annoyed to receive the smaller one.
