My next ordre have been shipped, so I was to late to stop it.
I will wait and see how bad they are.
So far I have mailen the shop about the 2 first beads, but I haven't resived any return number from them. Is that normal? Have anyone returned anything before to goldmine?
I am a bit concerned about all this. I will of course return both beads, and the goodies I resived.

I am so Rant at the moment, that I will send them back both. My big problem is, that
there are more to come and I do not think that they will look any better.... Fear

DH says, it might be possible to have them redone by using a soldering iron (jewellers size of course). Sorry, I can't explain the procedure in English.
I am waiting for mine to arrive and if ( Razz ) there's an ugly one, I may give it a try.
Poor beads, they are not going to be well loved........

The one on the right is very nice so you might get more like that. Fingers crossed.

The one on the left has a long dead look about it.

I wonder how TB quality controll has slipped so much. Even though they are made out of rings, it could have been done alot better. Poor dealers, they must be getting alot of backlash but they won't be able to do much about it since most beads seem to have some issues. I got one free bead from trollbeadboutique, it's not nearly as bad as some of the beads I've seen here, but it does look overpolished somehow and not as sharp. I still think it's cute. I have one more order comming so I wonder what bead I'll get. It might be a better idea to sent the beads to TB headquarters to show how bad some of the beads are, they might not know it.

has someone written directly to TB-Headquarters? did they answer?

in my opinion, this thread should be put in the "public" section, so TB has a chance to read it, and to make people aware of the poor quality of some TB articles!

Have these beads come from multiple shops or just one? Were they only available in the US? Was it definately an official Trollbead promotion as opposed to a retailer/distributer trying something out with unsold stock?

I was able to purchase a number of them and have 3 more coming in, hopefully today. Only two of the ones I have are really bad - one is very shiny and the flowers are blurry! I intend to take them to Trollbeads Fest and talk to the US TB CEO who is supposed to be present about it! It will be interesting to see what he has to say about it!

According to my LD (one of the big online dealers), they were told they were only allowed in the US and they were marketed as a *new* bead, supposedly like how the Netherlands got the Tulip and Germany got the German Clover. It was officially a Trollbeads promotion (I mean it's on TB Universe, right?), not a Dealer being greedy. Multiple dealers got them: Gallery, TB Boutique, Trollbeads Studio, etc.

However, this is kind of ridiculous. Mine has a little 51 inscribed next to the "LAA" mark. I just feel cheated Sad

I don't mind that they recycled the rings so much. What I do resent is that they didn't tell the truth about them initially and that they didn't maintain better quality control! Did they think that we would not figure out that they made them out of the rings? In this day and age, no one can keep anything a secret, we were bound to find out and then feel insulted that they didn't tell the truth from the beginning!

Seriously! They could have marketed it that way: "Trollbeads goes Green! We recycled some old rings and are passing the savings on to you! Wear it proudly!"

But no, it was "NEW NEW NEW BEAD BUY NOW SUPER LIMITED BUY ALL THE BEADS"

Sad
