Bones bracelet, thank you A.! xx
Thanks to a sweet troll friend, I was able to obtain a Chinese silver silkworm! I love the detail and I had never expected it to be so heavy. This is my first from the set and it is definitely my favourite. I am so happy my fellow trollie thought of me! Thank you A.! xx
So, you're probably wondering why I titled this 'Bones bracelet'. Well, I am a huge fan of the TV series Bones. My favourite character is Dr. Jack Hodgins. Besides the fact that I have a secret crush on the actor (he has beautiful piercing blue eyes and curls - I can't resist curls), his character is highly intelligent, funny, charming and paranoid at times , what's not to love? He is often referred to as the 'bugs, dirt and slime guy' because he analyzes bugs and particulates found on a victim's body or clothing to find out where the victim was murdered, where the killer is from or has been etc.
This bracelet has bugs: silkworm, angles tip, midgard serpent, armadillo; dirt: (Dr. Hodgins often stresses that this hypernym is used far too generally) earth, moon ocean for water and milkyway's bubbles could represent substances dissolved in water; this category also includes flowers/plants: clover, 'water lily' ooak and tulip and rocks: snow quartz, lab and adventurine and last but not least slime: mossy jasper and blue/green feather. I included the tupilak to represent the human remains that Dr. 'Bones' Brennan and her team study so carefully. Hope you like it!
(Sorry for the terrible quality - we are having a very dreary day out here and there's not much light.)

Very cool, great colors, and love the thought you have put into selecting each bead! And silkworm is such a great bead too. My kids love Bones (I'm a House fan but not sure about a combo for that one, you'd need a bead to represent a cranky but very bright doctor).

What a great idea Naranja, to combine a bracelet where the beads stand for an element of a TV serie. Beautiful beads all together.

I love it!! And, I love the TV show too! You captured the essence of the character: bugs, dirt and slime!! Now you have me thinking - wonder what could be done for NCIS, CSI or Criminal Minds, my other favorites.
I am so happy that you were able to get the bead you needed for it. You put a lot of thought into each bead and what it represents and ended up with a COOL looking bracelet with a neat story to go with it!

Great bracelet, love your tulip and angles tip! Love the silkworm too, and I'm sure it won't be your last Chinese silver! Whitesnake was my first bead and it's still my favourite, the detail on it is amazing. They were one of my favourite groups so I just had to have it!!

Great bracelet! I love both Bones and House. How about Bead of Fortune, the Seer(looking into medical crystal ball to forcast a pt's future), Cells, Two Sides to Everything, Heartbeat and Harmony(as a ha-ha) for a House combo?
