Hatching... ;)
Ruth prepared a little surprise... not having the faintest idea I opened the small package and here it was...
... a little bit of play... results in this...
and on a FN...
bit of fire to help it hatch...
or do they require green fire?
It is still a prototype, but too cute not to share. I've not had so much fun with a bead before...
Perhaps nice to know... Ruth's inspiration comes from the Dragonriders stories by Anne McCaffrey.
Dragonriders of Pern is a series of books by Anne McCaffrey, involving a lost colony set on the planet Pern. In the original Dragonriders stories, published as Dragonflight in 1968, dragons chose their riders based on telepathic affinity. When baby dragons hatch, young candidates are standing by, and the babies "Impress" upon whichever child they are able to connect with mentally. There is some implication that strength of will and courage as well as sensitivity are involved on the part of the candidate. Most riders can only "hear" their own dragon speaking in their minds. A very few can communicate with any dragon.

Re: Hatching... ;)
One question, is this the baby dragon inside a hatching egg bead, or is it just one bead of an egg with a baby dragon´s face inside? i ask because if it is just the egg we can put any bead we want to hatch inside it and this would be awesome! but if it is with the dragon attached already would save me some money on the long run, because I wouldn't need many of them.
Re: Hatching... ;)
These are actually two beads. When Ruth designed the Faerybeads baby dragon she also designed this egg for the baby dragon to hatch. But you could also fit in the Bowerbeads Emu Chick or the Trollbeads Crane I've tried only a few beads today.
So you could wear just the egg on itself or put a bead inside the egg and thread a bracelet chain or FN chain through all holes/cores. Sitting on a FN the upper scale can be tucked a bit backwards for the baby dragon to peek outside.
Will do a few pictures of just the egg tomorrow or next tuesday!
