Can I see your trollbeads turtles?
Hello, I want to eventually have two turtle beads. the same or as close to that as possible, but I have no idea what are the options, so i would love to see your original trollbeads turtles, if possible! I've seen some across the forum, but I think it would be nice to see them in one place if possible.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Macrow and Sons in the UK occasionally have turtles in their own glass bead selection. I have one on its way to me soon You can see them if you go to Macrow bead store and check on the archive.

I have two summersday turtles. One is one sky blue background and the other is on a cream background. I love my turtles! They are the closest to one of the older style TB turtles that I will probably ever own. I use the cream one frequently.

I'm not sure you'll have 'options' when authentic TB turtles are concerned ! You either snatch it or you'll never get one, it's not that you could choose from a variety! Especially getting two identical ones is a really ambitious project, good luck !Engel wrote:Hello, I want to eventually have two turtle beads. the same or as close to that as possible, but I have no idea what are the options...

Re: Can I see your trollbeads turtles?
I recently ordered a pink glass turtle from an artisan, Caroline Dousi, via Etsy. I'll see if I can find the link now and post it on here. Caroline joined the forum just after I made my purchase too, as she asked where I had heard about her and told her here.
Found the link but you can't see me turtle unfortunately and can't see anywhere that sold products can be viewed.

Re: Can I see your trollbeads turtles?
The wonderful thing about artisan made turtles is that you can work w/ the artist for the bead to be made in colors of your preference.
In fact, that is what turned me onto artisans in the first place. It is awesome to be able to have a bead made if you are looking for particular colors.
I think that Evelien at Bead Impressions makes turtle beads as well. She will be on maternity leave soon so can't do requests but her beads are beautiful and very high quality.
I also love my Mom's chrysanthemum style bead from Caroline Dousi.

I think Turtles are cute but would not pay serious money to own one. (I have a couple of Macrow Turtles and never wear them.) I bought a Manga because it was a charity bead and was green. I use it when I need a bead of that particular green but not because of the design. I would have liked to find a Smiley as part of the original little game but I don't think they are very attractive and would not buy one.

I agree. I recently saw a lovely smiley but after much thinking about it came to the conclusion that I just wouldn't ever wear it so dragged myself away. An unusual degree of self restraint for me!

Re: Can I see your trollbeads turtles?
Yes, that's my turtle! Thank you for finding it Stephenie!! I have no experience with Etsy and obviously didn't know where to look for completed listings. This was my first ever purchase and can't wait to wear it.stephenie wrote:HunnyBunny wrote:I recently ordered a pink glass turtle from an artisan, Caroline Dousi, via Etsy. Re: Can I see your trollbeads turtles?
Gorgeous turtles! They're so cute and may I ask, are they Trollbeads or artisan? I would be very interested in chatting about a swap if you make the decision to do so. I'm not approved for the member swap area though and wouldn't want to do anything against rules BT may have.trolliholic wrote:Here are my turtles:

Re: Can I see your trollbeads turtles?
I have one from Summersday and love it, partly because it has a neutral background I can use easily. The TB ones are just too expensive and elusive and even if one was within reach, it may not be a color you want or can match easily.

We are two!!!! I have a manga because it was a charity bead but it is in my box and have never wore it
BUT I have to say that this one is a beauty (although I would never pay more than normal price for it )
