Home made bead box

I saw so many lovely home made bead boxes so I decided to make one for myself too.

I bought a plain box and made some supports to put the rods for the beads in:



I then white-washed it and put blue fabric in. Here is the box:



And here's the inside of the box and my small collection:



It was fun to do, but a bit more work then I anticipated! I'm very happy with the end result though.

Thanks, we live in the centre of Utrecht, a mote runs infront of our house. We have lived in the house for many generations, it's a lovely spot.

I saw it, it was lovely! Yours and other people's boxes inspired me to make my own box.

Thanks! Although I'm already thinking about making another beadbox. There isn't any space in this bead box for finished bracelets and my loopturners.

And you've got a fabulous spot for living. Not very long ago I had an apartment a bit to the left at the other side of the water looking down on Graaf Floris and looking up at the Dom. I did have to get used to the carillon though... little sleep...
