Trollbeads Spring 2012 release

Trollbeads finally posted a sneak peek on FB..... You can't see anything but you can tell these photos are accurate

it´s a pitty, my LD have only ONE ruby in store....
so expensive and you don´t are able to have a look of more before to find the nicest...:-(

Here are my ( and very personal impressions) from today's lunch break visit at one of my LDs:

Escher Beads: Big and a real statement and very nicely done, but at EUR 75,00 quite pricey
My fav is the Gecko, then the flying geese, least the one called 'Gegensätze' in German (which means "contradiction" or "opposite"). It's based on Escher's drawing 'Angels and Demons' and all I could see was a bat-like pattern (no real bats as far as I saw) in dark and light silver. What confused me was a crack-like line that went around it, as if the bead was broken, didn't like that!

"Baby Bunnies / rabbits" : quite substantial and heavier again, but EUR 51? Come on!

Phoenix is definitely a Griffin!!! Whoever designed it, gave it the wrong name or wrong appearance! Beautiful though and with a vertical hole, will look fab on a fantasy chain!

"Rose pendant" Huge and nice, but no idea, how to wear it? On a TB foxchain? It hangs like a bell, with the hole in the middle of the stem, so definitely not for the fantasy chain. But as it is round and heavy, I'd find it very annoying on a bracelet...

Glass - nice but not spectacular, apart from the cream greyish dillo! The green dillo was definitely no seagrass, just a very bright green on white base.

Small mountain flower (looked like an Echinacea to me) - very nice and with Coffee mug and cup the cheapest at EUR 28.00

Cake: 42 EUR I think and quite nice, but not for me...

Hearts: Like the heart beads now, but more narrow, more like a small ring

Pendants: Really nice, one egg shaped 2 round ones (forgot the price)

Onyx - yummy , bought one!

Forget about the lock: Plain ugly and not well constructed . Two right angles that will poke you constantly in the wrist and the sales lady and I had no idea how to get the small part of a bracelet off again, as it opens to the inside and there's no way to pull the loop back again!

Wow...thanks for your comments! I thought that about the lock...that it would be uncomfortable to wear! Phew! One less to buy! What Black Onyx????? Do you mean Black & White Agates??? I really want those. So great to get someone's impressions...thanks so much! Cannot wait to see them...I definitely want the coffee mug...is it nice and shiny as shown?

Clochard, some of them are really ruby colored and some are more purple...can you wait till there are a few to choose from or will your LD only bring in one at a time?

P.S. I hope the cream armadillo is a lot like the grey armadillo...I always loved that bead!

I like the bright green one but it is quite an unusual colour.

The gray one is just opaque cream with grey outlining the scales...it really is one of my favorite beads...I love the creams, anyway! I think the new cream one is more translucent? Correct me if I am wrong, Mermaid's Purse!

No match, but it surely depends, they may vary too...

Wasn't this one supposed to be a remake of Seagrass?

That was the speculation here, the guess from combining the sneak peek pics with the rumour of re-released retireds.
Wishful thinking!

If the color is so much brighter, I guess it must be wishful thinking, then. I had read there were going to be 10 re-released beads...any ideas what the others are? I suppose one is that little hearts bead in silver? Are you in both Ontario and Georgia?

Yep, I inhabit two places at once. But that means I need twice as many trollbeads!
We live in Canada, but have our vacation/retirement home in Georgia. We go back and forth frequently.

The rumours I heard about re-released beads seem to indicate that they (maybe just in the US?) found some more old beads to release, like the ones that have been released at the US Concept stores the past few months. The beads mentioned were all glass, not that old, and not all that exciting. I guess we just have to wait and see!

Sounds perfect to me, and the argument that you need twice as many Trollbeads makes perfect sense to me!!! I have a friend who lives near Atlanta, so when I saw you were from Georgia, too, it piqued my interest!

Oh, is that what it was! I have one of the new Pink Prisms and it is lovely, but still don't know if it is REALLY new or old some some claim...still, it is a pretty bead!

Hope you get to see the new beads on the day they come out!!!

Now Steffans is announcing some mystery collection on their website, that could be the real retireds release. Who knows?!

When will those be shown, do you know???
