Wearing away .......

Has this happened to anyone's silver?

I don't mean dramatically, but by rubbing against other beads, are they slightly dinting or are the details softening with friction? I know the glass is said to be stronger than the silver.

Maybe I'm just imagining this with some of my more-worn silver beads (I mean that I wear more, not that are wearing away).

(P.S. On the other hand, it's actually good for pearls to be worn against the skin and conditioned by your skin's natural oil).

I wouldn't be surprised at all. My wedding band has quite deep scroll details that were very prominent 20 years ago. Over the years, the parts that rub against my other fingers have been worn smooth. I don't mind...20 years is pretty good cost per wear! And it make the ring even more uniquely my own.
