I'm bead blocked - I need your suggestions

My husband has a cold so he was snoring last night. Instead of putting a pillow over his face and suffocating him, I lay there and thought of beads

I decided to try a zodiac combo because DH gave me the zodiac beads for members of my family for Christmas and I've not really used them. So I was thinking beads in blues like Milky Way and goldens like Golden Quartz mixed in.

So I was playing this morning and came up with this combo. I'm not loving it. It hasn't been strung onto a chain because it doesn't look right to me. Maybe I picked the wrong colors... maybe I didn't put them in the right order... anyone have suggestions for me?

to me the blue and the two-toned dillo are wrong, and probably the silver mountain too?
I think you can get the others to work with each other.
What else have you got?

for silvers that might work I have a sparkling star..

I've got some ooaks, a few ambers and many production beads... what colors do you think I should be looking for?

Trying building it outwards from the centre. Utilise some more Ambers.

I would use the 4 glassbeads from left and then build the bracelet around those.

And, if you don't mind me writing , don't put the beads like this:
2 glass - 1 silver - 2 glass - 1 silver - 2 glass - 1 silver -

More variations please, then it gets more special and interesting. Like:
2 glass, 1 silver, 1 glass, 2 silvers, 3 glass, 1 silver etc.

And Kirstin, I think that I would use the zodiac star as a centerbead on this bracelet. The stone matches both the yellows and the blues and you can divide both colors on each side of it that way

I think your new beach kit would be perfect to use with the silvers you've got and some of the glassbeads already on your bracelet.

I think it's better but I'm still not feeling it.

This is what I would do with the combo above and some of your other beads.

Denim Prism, Conch, Beach, Honey Dawn, Azure Bubbles Golden Quartz, Cool Dusk, Silver Trace Beige, White Cap, Sea Urchin, Chalcedony

And fit the silvers in however you like.

The two Beach beads to the right are not good there, but i like the rest very much! Maybe a chalcedony? And, maybe that blue chakra bead?

I don't have a blue chakra but I do have the purple one - Third eye. OK, about to mix it up and will be back with a photo of V3

I think you don't want purple in your bracelet, maybe instead use the one below it, can't remember the name?

OK.... here it is again.... I swear IRL the prism looked light blue not purple so I'll switch that out but otherwise I do like it.....



and on a chain.... I chose dichroic ice lock as one side of mine is the blue and the other side is the amber... I thought it worked

I am loving the this thread! I do not have an opinion right now, but the build a bracelet is fun!! It is like having a bead play date, but virtually.

That's the problem with lavender prism (and stripe) they look blue or lavender depending on the light. Can't make a decent bracelet with them
