Universal Core Diamond Beads

Phew ! For a moment there I thought I might save some money !

I saw the new release today and apart from the fact that I don't like Diamond beads very much, I thought the two Diamond beads with the universal chores didn't look like TB at all. HUGE and like cheap rip-offs !
The xmas beads were quite nice and the red a tomato red, not orangey, but for 39 EUR each - no thanks!

Macrow used to be a mega Trollbeads dealer but has diversified to stock redbalifrog and their own range of silver, stone and glass beads. They are based in the UK at Swanage in Dorset.

So do they not carry TB anymore? I ordered from them once, and they messed up my order but what I bought I still have and like.

Is there a thread on here to discuss RBF beads? I have been tempted and I have yet to buy a bead....

They do carry Trollbeads but their OOAK listings are much less frequent at the moment because they cannot get good stock and refuse to accept beads that won't sell.

It's about time that Trollbeads gets themselves a new navigation system, as with this decision:

I'm not sure if its the same for other countries but here in the the UK the diamonds beads will have normal sized cores but dealers are able to order larger sized ones if required, i can't see many being ordered though.

I don't like big cored beads at all, mostly because I love the leather bracelets and don't want my beads to roll around on the leather but rather sit tight on it.

Right now it doesn't bother me so much that TB releases big cored beads, because I still have a choice. But I'm worried if they would start replacing, let's say next spring release all glass are big cored and I will be REALLY unhappy.

I think we need to speak up about this. We can sit here and talk and agree, but we need to speak directly to TB. I will write and e-mail to them speaking of my concern and I encourage everyone here to do the same, the more the merrier.

Blue diamond is with a normal core!

Well, it ís disappointing that much effort, money and materials are wasted on a 'cross-over' product.
I do understand the idea but even from a marketing perspective it is an illogical decision. Trollbeads collectors are waiting for, expecting ravishing beads that do fit their Trollbeads chains nicely. And it is rather annoying that the best unique glass bead designs seem to have been reserved for the large core beads or in other words for the non-Trollbeads collector.
Being a serious Trollbeads collector, that really puts me off. In fact that much that I've not spend at all on the recent released production glass. A few premium quality lampwork bead makers have benefited largely from my 'crossing-over'... and I'm afraid it will not stop yet.
Nevertheless we've been immensely spoiled having been provided with fabulous glass beads before by Trollbeads. None of the other brands took that path serious... Which turns this direction towards 'cross-over' products into a ridiculous decision.

My LD tells me that whenever she has Pandora-wearers in her shop and she tells them about the big cored TBs, they are not really interested. But that when Pandora-wearers sees TBs they would rather switch over completely than wear them combined.
