Mardi Gras for Today!!!!!!

Went to an event yesterday and had a wonderful time talking to another collector (perhaps a member here...forgot to ask her) and seeing her beautiful bracelets and amazing necklace.  I also left with some incredible treasures--one of the new cat style ooaks in bright yellow and the new academy lock that I have been lusting after since seeing the first photo!  Definitely feeling like sunshine, sitting on a caribbean island in the middle of Mardi Gras and so for today:

I agree, but I guess this is what they do with their academy locks.  The shop I was at said that TB has just sent them a shipment for their employees.  I know at my LD each employee took a "quiz" and only the ones that got 100% on the quiz got the lock--hence the employees that are collectors got them and did not want to sell them--believe me I tried to convince them to sell me theirs (not for the crazy money asked on eBay mind you).  So, maybe since they are just sending them out--more of the employees might be willing to sell them.

On a side note--the lock is a little difficult to use, since there really isn't a lip to press to attach to the smaller end of the bracelet--so kind of hard to get that end open.  Hope my explanation makes sense.

wow, until now I did not even know such a lock exists... LUcky you, I really like it.

Thre new cats are really nice as well. So far I managed to buy a white one and other artisan ones earlier, but bright yellow is really great for this time of the year.

Sorry for abbreviating--cat for caterpillar style ooak--is the yellow one with bumps. TB does also make ooaks with actual cats, didn't mean those .
