Crochet Beach
All boxes have now been unpacked and the last picture has been fixed to the walls after our recent move. I have taken my summer vacation in between posts to fix my new home and then to relax and now the time to relax has finally come
Since I will not go the beach, I crocheted and beaded the beach to come to me

Love your bead choices. I can see the dark water, the froth and feel the sandy beach.
You crochet beautifully.

Thank you for your lovely comments, my dears
Kyhalfpt, I remember when you were looking for a pattern for a sea gull. I would love to see the finished project (and your other crochets ) I especially like to crochet little things for decoration and as little gifts. And I like that often they go very well with my beads

Love it! Nothing says summer to me like the beach and crocheting. Love the touch of orange bead.

They are lovely. And this way you don't have to worry about sand getting inside your bathing suit and making you itchy, or about getting a bad sunburn!

Love your sea bracelet and the crocheted shells and starfish. I could really use a little sea breeze right now with the temperatures.

I never found a good sea gull pattern and everything I tried looked ridiculous--so I just left off the sea gulls and only had fish and jellyfish--so it looks like the photos that I posted before. http://www.beadthrilled.com/t19649-crochet-help-not-bead-related?highlight=crochet+pattern
Lately I have made several fleece blankets with crochet appliques--my latest was with owls:
I also finally purchased a book of appliques that has lots of things including a whole section of ocean/beach themed ones--photo from the book:
I plan to make some of these soon.
I'm happy to share patterns if you see something you don't have or are looking for something (book also has sections for holidays, farm, garden, and wild animals).

You are so right, Strike, no sand in awkward places
Niceday, I will take a few closeups of the shells when I take out my photo box the next time, Niceday They all are from this book https://www.amazon.de/Das-K%C3%BCstenh%C3%A4kelbuch-Von-Leuchtturm-Fischbr%C3%B6tchen-ebook/dp/B01D8TSFTM/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1469976401&sr=1-2&keywords=sam+lavender
Kyhalfpt, those owls on their branches are gorgeous! My favorite one is the little on on the right bottom
Could you please post the title of your new book? It looks very promising Those beach applications look wonderful! I could use the little flipflops in betwen my shells which I have put on my windowsill for decoration and if I put some flipflops with them it might look like I have just gone into the water

Re: Crochet Beach
This is so lovely, I can imagine that these crocheted beach items give you a holiday feeling. Sea themed bracelets: I love them all. You have crocheted them very lively!
But Trollperle, was it you who mentioned that you had moved but did. Ot have a balcony? That must be very hard, I could not survive that, as I love to go outside.

Thank you, yes they give a wonderful beach holiday feeling
And yes, it is me who moved into an apartment without a balcony. It used to have a balcony that is now integrated into the living room giving a nice balcony feeling to the inside and I get lots of outside time as I have two dogs who need to go on quite a few walks during the day

What a great crocheting job you did! Your "beach" is great.
Congrats on the move and a new home - hope you're all settled happily.

Re: Crochet Beach
Congratulations on your new home Trollperle! I just noticed that your text says 'location: Germany'. Did you always live there or did you move to another country? I seem to remember that you lived some where else, or at least I thought so..
You are very talented! I have some crocheted egg hats from you from the easter bead swap also very lovely! I use them to hang in our easter branches, or three, not sure how to call it.
