Working leather Empty Working leather

Post by Fuzzyfeet Mon Jun 01, 2015 9:30 pm

Because of my lifestyle (mud/sweat/sh*t  Laughing) I don't actually get a chance to wear my beads much, but I wear my leather necklace all the time, so I thought I'd like to have a leather bracelet I could wear to death.

I had fun choosing beads I love, but beads that could be replaced fairly easily if they get ripped off and lost.  I also found they move about quite a bit, so I have kept them in place with little rubber stoppers.

I'm loving having my beads with me all the time  Very Happy

Your lifestyle sounds like a lot of fun Smile I love the beads you have chosen, there is something for any occasion - dragons, the lady, a little fairy and sea horses - some of my total faves all together Smile

me too, I love the beads you have chosen, sunny the good old ones!

I got several bracelets and 2 necklaces as well, now I have bought the new leather with the knot,
but it is difficult to get the glass beads on it, not so sure about the new one...

question, do you just leave it as it is, or do you use some care for it, I put some coconut oil on my new one and like it better that way. Very Happy

Great idea with the rubber stoppers! Did you get them on ebay, or a hobby shop? Definitely what I need to keep beads in place on leather!

If you're in the US, easy to pick up black rubber O-rings in the plumbing department at Home Depot or Lowes. (My guess is that the US is the only place left in the world using inches to measure plumbing supplies!)Working leather O%20rings%20beads%2017%20may%202014%20001_zpsyoh2zoau

If you want a lot of them, it's cheaper to buy in bulk on ebay. And you can get white/clear ones on ebay.

Love the bracelet.  Great idea to use the rubber stoppers.
I have found rubber stoppers at auto part stores.  Sometimes they have them loose and you can buy as many as you want.

Perfect everyday bracelet. The rubber stoppers are a great idea for leather.

It might make me wear mine more Smile

The stoppers are quite tight so leave little indentations, which you wouldn't want if you were swapping the beads regularly, but ok for me because I'm planning to wear it like this until the leather falls apart  Laughing
