Well i've had an amazing Christmas!

First off, Cloverbead very kindly picked up my Cambridge beads for me and they arrived on Tuesday (23rd), kind of a pre christmas happy christmas to me!

I'm not convinced by the Cambridge bead (so don't be surprised to see me selling it soon) but my beadmaker bead is growing on me. It's not quite as I envisaged but to be honest I had had at least one glass of champagne too many at the event so the fault is likely entirely mine! I definitely liked it more when I opened my bead box earlier than I did putting it away several days ago.

Then on Christmas eve this little man came to stay! He's a replacement for the one we lost and the breeder (bless her the absolute angel) has given him to us totally for free as she feels terrible about what happened to little Loki. So ... meet our newest addition, Ewok!

He's the friendliest most playful little chap I have ever met and spent his first night in his new home literally sleeping under my chin (under the duvet), all night long! It was incredibly cute but also bloomin uncomfortable for me as he was like a little furnace. Nothing I could do (save putting him out of the room) would move him from his chosen spot. I guess he was missing his mummy!

On Christmas day my husband gave me this

Which is especially meaningful to us as the trinity knot is also the design on our wedding rings and the theme we had running through our wedding. I never wanted any X but I wanted this (so much so that I had actually bought it for myself at the Cambridge event only to get told off as he had also ordered me one!)

Not satisfied with this he also bought me a new frightling (I know they're not hugely popular here but I do love them so). This little chap is to help me remember my Loki cat

My darling daughter, assisted by her wonderful Daddy also got me 2 black bubbles and a purple mosaic.

Phew, what a lot of goodies

But then ....

My parents arrived and look what they got me (even though I had categorically told my mother not to as he's too expensive for them to be buying for me!)

Puck is a favourite of mine and I have both indoor and outdoor ornaments of this lovable little chap. I got my mum a Holly King a couple of months back for her birthday and one of the postcards which came with it was of Puck. Of course we chatted about how amazing he was and she offered then and there to get him for me for Christmas. I said no, pointing out he was expensive and thought no more about it. It was an amazing (and wonderful) shock to open him up.

In addition to all of the above I also got a stack of other lovely gifts, got to spend Christmas day with my parents (Dad has cancer so I treasure these moments) and then on Boxing day my inlaws, brother in law (and family) plus 2 of my closest friends and their families all came over for a day of mayhem. It was just brilliant.

2014 has not been a great year for me, one of my oldest friends died at the tender age of 38, my Dad was diagnosed with prostrate cancer, my husbands aunt died while we were visiting her in hospital, we had the terrible kitten event and my own health has not been brilliant. I won't be sorry to kiss 2014 goodbye but I will hope for another equally magical Christmas in 2015!

It looks like you had a lovely Christmas! I too am enamoured with your little Ewok I love you He had beautiful colouring Smile

The infinity X by Trollbeads is really lovely - and the story of your husband buying it just enhances its beauty Smile

The Frightling is adorable ... and Puck! I love Puck, but I suspect that he's destined to forever remain on my wishlist. Perhaps for the best, who knows what shenanigans he might get up to Wink

I hope that your 2015 is better than your 2014 Hug

The Trinity Knot necklace is gorgeous and how special is it that your DH picked it out before you did.
