Wine and Dine

I have always loved to pick berries - when I was a child we used to pick blackberries and my mum would make wonderful pancakes to have them with Later, we had a vine plant in our garden and because I did not use chemicals, most of the harvest went to the bees, wasps and flys, but myself and our Teddy, we would be able to pick a few, as well. He never got a whole one and no seeds once I learned that they are toxic to dogs, but the whole year he would go to the vine and look up to it expectantly, until finally there were grapes, again
