Imbolc Bangle Greetings

I wish all of you a very happy Imbolc    

Here in Skopje, the first daisies came out two or three weeks ago (they are a bit optimistic ), now the snowdrops are in full bloom. But do not be fooled, this is actually the middle of winter and I always find the coldness in February much harder to bear than the one in December or January - for I long for spring and I can already smell it, and glimpse it and hear it in the odd bird here or there (too many cats in this city make for only a very few birds even in summer, but it was totally quiet up until two weeks ago). I want to wear light clothing in bright colours and sandals and not the dark and wooly ones I need at the moment so that I do not freeze my tush off

Nevertheless, Imbolc stands for the return of light, for new beginnings. It is preceded on Feb. 1st by the feast day of Brighid, Goddess of Fire, of Smithcraft, Healing and Poetry, who is also the patroness of Imbolc. She of the two faces is a Goddess of Joy but also said to have invented „keening“ when her son was killed. Some say she and Sulis, the Goddess of healing waters and wells (I think Bath has been one of her centres for centuries) are two faces of the same Goddess - Fire and Water - which I find intriguing and fascinating.

Imbolc´s colours are white and red and black.

Brighid´s Cross was woven by Silverado, Hrist´s extra shield was forged by the Blond Viking.

Both are gorgeous. Love the Imbolc bangle. Also really like how you have combined the faceted aurora--it looks magical and glowing there. I'm also longing for warmer, brighter weather.

I too long for the Spring.  My Snowdrops are in bud but never seem to open and some of them seem to have vanished this year.    

Both bangles bring hope to my life.  The little dangle is very lovely.

I too, am longing for Springtime - I have been wearing my spring bracelet too in anticipation for warmer, sunnier times. I adore both of your bracelets, they are beautiful. Wishing a Happy Imbolc to you too

the second bangle is also georgous, that lab is amazing!     

Love them both but if I was forced to pick it would be the second probably because both silver beads are on the top of wish list.

  

The thought of Imbolc is giving me hope, I usually hate this time of year, but this sounds like a good reason to celebrate
