Help! Difficult bead
Hi Folks,
Would love to hear suggestions for other beads to combine with this one...I fell in love with it and couldn't pass it up, have had it for months, but have never managed to make a combination that I was satisfied with.
I can't bring myself to put it in the "unwanted" pile yet, so please help me figure out how to live with it!
The "red" buds are orangey red.

That is very pretty! I can see why you fell in love with it
I wonder if you could find some azure bubbles with a blue/green mix to go with those two colours on it?

Oh, very nice bead indeed
For me it is one of those beads which will make a combo perfectly imperfect.
When I make up a perfect combo, and this perfect combo seems to miss something different in order to work right, I add a bead or two which seem out of place but makes the bracelet go ZAP WOW
Your bead could go into an all dark colour bracelet and give some light

Re: Help! Difficult bead
I agree with the azure bubble that would have been my first guess, maybe an aqua armadillo? ( I don't know if it's called that?) looks like you have some gorgeous blues and greens in there, maybe a red bubble would work? Maybe a chai bud? ( I'm not sure the Creme one with the buds on it)

It is pretty !
I think opaque beads would go with it, maybe even try an orange 'dillo !

That's a beauty! I'd put it with some oranges to pull out the buds.

Re: Help! Difficult bead
I would look through my ready made bracelets and like Bluesybeads would put it on one where it stands out as the „odd one“ and still makes it work. I, too, would not give up on it. I often buy beads I like with no regard as to where they might actually fit and it has happened that it took months of them sitting on the sideline until suddenly they were the ones missing in a new bracelet

Re: Help! Difficult bead
It is a beautiful bead. I would try it with cream based ooaks, dark squirrel, red berry, conch, glass stone, jaspers, wood beads or some dark ambers but this is because they are the ones I own Other ideas from beads I haven't really seen: retired blue flower, chai bud, green dot,

It's a lovely bead - how about a Scarlet Armadilo, Wave of Dreams and The Eye

Re: Help! Difficult bead
I agree with kyhalfpt. I was thinking the retired blue and green dots for sure. For punchy kicks of color, would Pumpkin work? The blue in the flower could match a variety of blue beads in the past and current collection. My favorite blue bead is retired Dark Blue Bud. Turquoise agate could work, too. I LOVE your bead.

I'd have fallen for that bead, too.
Maybe red tiger eye? Or some goldstones.

Re: Help! Difficult bead
WOW!! You guys are GREAT! You've all come up with some amazing ideas...this helps me so much.
@Tatiana, your Christmas bracelet is AMAZING!! I actually used this on a Christmas bracelet before and I liked it, but didn't LOVE it. I've since gotten rid of some of these beads, so it's time to try something different.
I also tried it with some of the same beads on leather previously, but again, have gotten rid of some of these beads, and felt like I was trying to stick too hard to the color scheme, so need to start fresh.
Of all the suggestions, I have the following beads available:
Chai bud, Blue/green dots, Pumpkin, Scarlet Armadillo, Squirrel, Red berry, Conch, dark Amber, Orange Dillo, Olive & Grey green Kimonos; Flower clouds, Red bubble, Aqua Dillo & Azure bubbles.
However, all my Azure bubbles have a lot of purple in them, so I might try my Organic bubbles instead. They are not as bright, but just might pick up on the green.
Thank you all so much!! Now to go have some play and see what I can come up with before the sun goes down

Re: Help! Difficult bead
Ok, so I did a pass through the bead box and this is what I've come up with so far...(not all TB)
What should I eliminate? How would you arrange them? What is missing ? (colors)
These are some that I would definitely like to KEEP (because they have also been un-used for too long or are new beads that I would like to incorporate)
Jade barrel focal, Blue/green braid, Red/green ornament, Blue bubbles...the rest are negotiable
This is fun, I hope you guys think so too...this will be a "community" bracelet when it's finished

Re: Help! Difficult bead
Umm, a bit affraid to offend you
but here goes: eliminate nr. 4 from right , pumpkin (wrong red colour I think), and rainbow (too bright). Add 2 silvers.
Well, that is what I would try

Re: Help! Difficult bead
Hahaha, no worries, Bluesybeads! I asked for your help, so no offense taken at all!
I was actually planning to eliminate a lot of glass. I always start off with way too much glass, then pare it down and add silvers.
Most of my bracelets can accommodate about 10-12 glass/stone beads, with alternating silvers, unless I really cut back on the silver, but I like to have a balance. So that means we would need to remove about 7-8 of these glass...

Re: Help! Difficult bead
Huh, you have to eliminate more glass beads
But they work well together!
Maybe the champagne blue bobbles could go?
This is exciting to play - like we were sitting in the same room playing with your beads

Moving right to left--I would remove 1, 5, 6, 11, 15, 17 and see what that looks like.

Ok, so....sorry there's no more light here, but this is what we have so far...
My re-ordering after removing Bluesy-Beads suggestions:
Michelle's suggestion:
Kyhalfpt's suggestion:
If I got the numbering correct ... What do you guys think?
I am liking all of them...need to add some silvers.

My numbers were right to left, let me see if I messed up my numbers. Wanted you to keep the ornament and the other unique with the redish dots. But I do like these options too....
