I thought Macrow had stopped producing their own brand beads, apart from a few very special stones, quite some time ago. I can't see why Trollbeads would consider them to be a problem.

I think that they have decided to address the problem of producing a massive back stock of unsellable beads. They have been coming round to my LD, who does not normally stock Uniques, and encouraging her to choose whatever beads she likes. I believe (not totally sure) that she can swap them for different ones if they don't sell as well. I guess that they are pretty desperate to shift their stock.

There's also German/USA retailers reselling/producing their own line who still carry TB and uniques? Perhaps, as BB points out, TB finaly realizes that even their spin off, their 'uniques' collection, needs decent management.

I hope is that they are controlling the quality and quantity of the uniques beads thay produce. It can only then improve there market for us. Also to reduce this stock number and realy look at the desins to be made. The s&b was more controlled even if some beads are not so cool and the limited run is a beter idea for Tb.
Also X by Trollbeads must have some big investment. and there is so many ld closing they have not so many places to sell so much. Crying or Very sad

If they dont make them may be they can make more releases in a year of production glass?

I wondered if they will do it the same way in the future they did it with the s&b beads. A higher quantity of beads that could be matched with each other, but not producing as many as the production beads so they remain "special". And when they see that people like a kind of bead, they are producing (or let produce) more of them.
For me the s&b still are one highlight of this (bead-) year!

I totaly agree with you Fuzzy! Almost all the ooaks I buy now are second hand. I realy don't like the prize 2 on Ooaks.

I also don't like that so many of the newer uniques are "see through". I like the opaque glass better.

Have to agree. I like the way the opaque gives the bead depth and just is more appealing.
