Critters-newbie question Empty Critters-newbie question

Post by alika Sun Sep 15, 2013 5:29 am

Are OOAK critters difficult to find? I read somewhere that they were quite rare but that TB have been making many more of them so they are easier to get. Just wondering what kind of price I should expect to pay for an OOAK fish.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

First of all I'm no expert !
The Turtles and Bees seem to be fairly easy to get hold of now, certain colours are more popular of course, I wouldn't pay much more than the already inflated regular Ooak price for them.
Fish are a bit harder to find, but I'm guessing they'll get as common as the others ?
As with everything work out how much you want it, and what you would be happy paying Wink

Plenty of turtles, bees and ladybirds here (see link below) at standard OOAK prices. As Fuzzyfeet says, fish and butterflies are harder to find.

I was lucky and bought my first fish recently from a forum member for a very fair price, and I always try not to be panicked into buying unusual beads at high prices.

D4E are steadily reducing the price of critters in their zoo.  There are no fish there yet but if you want any bugs you may wish to watch to see how low they get?

Just saw a couple white base fish beads at my LD. Not really doing it for me- but then I wonder if I will kick myself later for not getting one!

I can be your trollfairy if you like! The only thing was to buy the fish it had to be in a trio with two other OOAKs. I think it was 799 HKD for the three. I can double check tomorrow for you if you like.

It's impossible to stop at one, I found, a bracelet full of fishies later. Some of the white base one have fish that seem to have a top view and are gracefully curved (most of the aqua base ones have side views, if that makes sense). These are graceful and remind me of the fish in the Chinese paintings, especially the gold/orange colored ones. These are harder to find so if you like them, grab one!

trollmoll good advice! haha dare I take the plunge? I think they are side view fishies - the shop was good enough to send me a photo this afternoon.

i'm not hugely blown over by either colour, though I prefer the orange if it comes down to it. It's also annoying to have to buy them in a trio! I did go over their trays of OOAKs and had a really hard time finding ones I liked. maybe I will just wait for their next shipment and see what TB sends to HK.

I haven't bothered with TB critters at all, instead I bought alot of critter beads from GlassBonBon which I think are prettier and more detailed than TBs critters. Only downside is that they have UU cores.
