Looks like more critters to come....
Trollbeads Delaware (Blooming Boutique) is having a TB event in March and posted photos of unique kits that just came in for the event on the FB page this week. In looking at their photos, I see some new critters and patterns:
I am planning to go to the event and was excited to see things I might be able to get there.
Anyone else here going?

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
There are certainly some very different designs there. I wonder which will emerge as the overpriced must have from this batch and do we really need kiddy critters again?
I have promised myself I won't be getting involved in the scramble for OOAKs that sell for hundreds and a couple months later can't be given away. Retailers put these pictures out to fuel the hype and must have and collectors get sucked in the the extent where they 'must have it' at all cost.
I've unliked all the retailers on Facebook and deleted myself from all except two groups because I simply don't want to be a part of it anymore. In the six or so months I've dabbled on Facebook I've seen more grabbing, spats and disgraceful behaviour from adults over beads than I would ever have believed possible. I've been collecting for almost 8 years now and I find the way Trollbeads, the retailers and the buyers fuel the hype and the greed these days, distasteful. Sadly the few lovely collectors who would help another person find a dream bead are far fewer than the grabbers who sell on for profit.

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone by sharing the photos--so I apologize if I did. I don't get anything from the shop for posting them and will be attending the event to purchase beads for my personal collection/hoard, not for resale.
I have purchased beads on FB and have not had any negative experiences. I can't usually attend the bead parties since they are in the middle of the day, but have gotten some great beads as knockouts at regular ooak prices $43, most with free shipping. I have not paid any inflated prices on FB and agree that I will not pay a lot for an ooak just because it is hard to find--which is why I never got a peacock ooak and so many others.

No you absolutely didn't offend me. I didn't mean to upset you. I've known people have negative buying experiences and seen some downright unpleasant and vicious remarks. One or two have amounted to witch hunts before the facts were established. A collector named by one and then in they all pile. I've found my enjoyment spoiled so I'm quitting places like Facebook before I quit beads.
I'm sorry I had a rant on your innocent post but we're dealing with bit's of glass here which at their point of making are worth a few pence/cents and Part of me borders on shame at being part of the Trollbeads world at times.
I'm relieved there are sane places like Beadthrilled.

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
I agree for exactly this reason I've stopped looking for trollbeads ooaks all together I also disliked them on FB I hate what this has come to and want no part in it.
As the word LE trollbeads spreads around more regularly than not makes my hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
For anyone who does get their dream bead this way good for them but just not my cup of tea

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
Thank you for sharing. It's interesting to see the new designs although I would still love to have an upright butterfly instead of an octopus but it's great that TB are doing new things. I too cannot go to these events and usually rely on FB or the internet in general. I was really lucky recently as there was someone who was very kind on BT and gave a TB in a raffle for what she paid. There are some good TB fairies as well. I do love the thrill of finding something special that would finish off a bracelet nicely but find it annoying when servers can't cope with the demand or when things pop out of your basket.

What I did find annoying was trying to track down the US LE beads and spending more then I should have only to find these became more readily available. It's good that others were able to get these but I don't think they should have been labeled as LE US beads.

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
A lot of the squabbling on Facebook has died down. Or maybe I just notice it less since I have retreated from uniques! I do visit a lot of the bead parties but late, I know I'll never be first on the 'hot' beads.
From the preview pix at TB Delaware and at TB Hong Kong, it looks like several wanted designs are being made again --- peacocks, honey ornaments, teal tigers, black/white spiros, pink ridges, pink cherry blossoms, purple glitters, dark blue galaxies. So if you missed them in last spring's frenzy, you'll have another chance. Of course, they won't be new and rare anymore!
And some new hot designs: caterpillar, octopus, whale, peace sign.

Thank you for sharing! There are definitely some bead designs I've never seen in this pile. It looks like a strong percentage of S&Bs, so maybe you'll get your peacock yet

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
Why say they are limited though with the S&B and then go make more anyway??? They lost total credibility before and this just proves it? I think for those who are patient enough and a bead is a dream to have you'll find one for the right price sooner or later

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
It is odd that they say the critters are gone, and really they are just changing the style. Is it an issue of "lost in translation"? I don't think so.
I admit, I do at least think that the new batch is looking promising. I haven't even been interested in most of the uniques that have come out in many months.

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
Oh dear, I am in trouble - And with Trollbeads Chique out of the TB business I have no idea, where to find the lovely ones (or at least a marginally realistic chance at one) for regular prizes. Because I absolutely refuse to pay more. Well, the hunt is the goal not the catch

I was worried about offending you and anyone else on this forum. I also really like it here and would feel terrible if I upset anyone. I also didn't want anyone to think that I was trying to create hype, go buy all the good ones I could snatch and then sell them for $$$. I would be happy to look for things for people when I go--caveat being if there is a bird, it's mine I know there was a problem with people getting all the footprints and fish beads at their last event, so I know they are planning to limit people's purchases...not sure how...but the owner was concerned that people were buying for resale and not their collections. Owner is very nice and just as addicted to TB as most on this forum.
I really kind of hope there are no birds, if they start making birds, I will be one of those people paying crazy money.....

I don't think you could ever offend anyone with this
The pictures are very nice!! And it's the way trollbeads do things that make it nasty not you!!
It's just so sad seeing gorgeous beads bought for the resale of them and not the love for the piece of art they are

TFS the pics
I can see some lovely new (and old) designs and I'd love to have the peace pattern.
Unfortunately I don't think it will be available here so I am keeping my mantra I-do-not-need-more-glass, I-do-NOT-need-more-glass......
Good luck in hunting

Re: Looks like more critters to come....
It is an event. More info on a special page.
http://www.trollbeadsatthebeach.com/
And in answer to a question on Facebook, TB Delaware said "there is structure to the event, we limit the number of tickets, have beads staggered throughout the day so not everything goes immediately and we have lots and lots going on at the event so not everyone goes unique crazy."

Looks like some nice beads coming out.
I am not going to get into the scramble to get these beads though. They will make enough so I have a decent chance of finding them or they will not get my money!
