The 2nd one is not gaudy but cheerful. I would wear the first one since it is a black tie affair. Have fun.

My thoughts too, it is not dull at all, rather glamorously interesting. Dull would be monotone pearls or stones like onyx, or even plain diamonds.

In the end I let my clothes dicate the rest and wore the black and gold one. Have a fancy dress party to attend this weekend so am sure I can find a way to work the super colourful one in to that!
