Which one?

I have a black tie party to attend on Friday and am torn between sleek and sophisticated and bright and gaudy, please help me decide!! Sorry the light is pretty terrible this morning)

Both pretty but I just love the first one!

Depends on your dress, the second one would be nice with a simple black dress and accessories in one of the brighter richer colours in the bracelet.

I'd go with the 1st one for a black tie event..... but I love them both so would be torn lol

Second one. That's a bracelet that will be noticed. The other one is beautiful, but (for non TB-lovers) perhaps a bit dull.

What about both?!!!

I think it depends on what else you're wearing and the atmosphere of the event. The second one definitely says "fun party" to me, and the first one is a lot more formal.

LOL, that's the thing, my head is saying 'black tie do the dull thing', my winter sick heart is crying 'colour colour colour'

Reltan - wearing 2 always sounds appealing to me but never seems to happen.

What I am wearing will depend very much on this weeks weight loss, seems the Christmas lbs I gained are restricting my wardrobe somewhat!

They are very beautiful both and I especially love the second one BUT, for a black tie party, I definitely would wear the first one, so elegant!

At the wedding of my brother in law I wore 4 together...A white, a blue, a yellow/brown and a green one....My outfit was very simple, but all those silver and glasses made me look as a

depends also on what you expect the others to wear and how formal the event is,
if in doubt choose the first one, you cannot go wrong,
but my heart would say.. choose the second! I love the colours so much!

The first if it is super formal, the second if you will be relaxed.

You could put one colorful bead on the first...

I would agree that it depends on what you plan to wear, but you can never go wrong with the first one

The first one is very elegant and definately can not go wrong.

Exactly, Reive! Probably most people there will be doing sophisticated and elegant. That is, safe and dull.

I remember one year long ago, the economy was down, and so I decided save a little money on party clothes by buying something classic that I could use repeatedly. I decided to go to my husband's office Christmas party in classic black and white. I had a beautiful black moire skirt that had belonged to my mother, and I bought a dressy white blouse. Looked really good. We went to the party, a dinner dance evening, and, oh my goodness, at least 80% of the women were in black and white. Looked like a flash mob of penguins. I have not worn black and white ever since.

I'd pick the colourful one

I remember doing more or less the same thing, DH and I were invited to a ball, all very last minute (we must have been "B" list ) I wore a lovely classic "little black dress" and so did most of the other women, we looked like a flock of crows !

If you are going for the little black number then jazz it up with the colourful bracelet (and necklace to match ?)

I love them both but I'd go for the first one. It's not dull, it's sophisticated!

Oh dear I love the first, but if you want to make a statement the second, with some red shoes, can't you post a pic of the dress too?
