Show Your Plastic Bead Boxes!
Show us your boxes!! Hey all! Just thought I'd share how I store my beads in plastic boxes. *Would love to see yours!!* Been using 2 old Plano tackle boxes (~9"x4.5") found at a thrift shop...liked this very much b/c it was inexpensive (way under $1), neat, compact, stackable, and portable...also has little adjustable slots w/in the 3 long sections, so its easy to change the size of the compartments. The beads have outgrown them though, so went looking for more and found the exact same model tackle box ("Plano 3500" on amazon.com, just under $4 ea w/free ship)... the new version has stronger grips (that now come in blue instead of original clear). Got 4 boxes and now have room to grow! (I had stickers all over the tops of the old boxes but will try to keep these clean so I can see the beads (well...minus a couple stickers) & use sturdy reed diffuser sticks and cheap leather cord to hold the beads not in use. 2 rows of beads can fit the width of each section...and another 2 rows can stack on top of those 2 if needed (which is what I did before getting extra boxes)). Please show us yours
!!

Excellent!
Get some silver tarnish strips and maybe a few of those little silica gel packs to put in the boxes, to retard tarnish.
I use the tackle boxes for most of my other silver jewelry, don't know why I haven't with my Troll!
Plastic tackle boxes also available in the fishing section at WalMart.

I use the tackle boxes too!! The most important thing for me is portable.
You know I live in earthquaky Japan,so if I need to evacuate, they are really convenient.

I also use that type of box (bought in a craft store ). I then stack them in a sewing basket. I will try to add picture later.

Like the sewing box idea, mdel. I hadn't come up with a way to carry them all, and had been tossing them in whatever bag was closest...would love to see your pic...maybe this should become a show your plastic bead boxes thread...

Here are my tackle boxes! I found them at tool section in DIY shop. Keep glasses and stones in two of them, silvers in tower container. It can joint each other with screws on top and bottom, so easily seal the beads off. Pink paper in the tower is silver tarnish strip Linda Jo said
