When I look at the list I can see many of my first and favourite beads:
small berry, cobra, art deco, plait, planet, 2+2, gold mocca, pearl lock, grey wolf....
To be replaced by flimsy beads, cutesy and suglasses? affraid
Another brick in the wall.

You summed up my feelings about TB so well Fleur. I find myself wondering more and more whether it is all about profit now. It would be such a shame if TB lost its interesting, quirky appeal. Neutral

ETA: There are quite a few beads on there that I've been eyening! I will miss the art deco, plait, seals and planet bead from the silvers and the arctic stripe, grey wolf, dark leopard, cobalt blue stripe and the beige trace bead from the glass.

This makes me feel more and more like a money machine...release 30 beads every months or so, retire 100 beads every year...

There are some great classic TBs here....very sad to see them go. Especially hate to see 2+2 retire, it is on my most wanted list:( Damnation!

I think it could have been a lot worse.

There are a lot of beads there, but honestly not all that many that I'd miss. I don't have any of these beads, but none of them are high up on my wishlist either. I might get small berries (I agree it's better than winter berries), art deco, maybe seals, maybe birdhouse and sweater, grey wolf and possibly others from the pale blue kit. The other glass kits don't interest me, and I've never really looked at the letters, cherubs, or gold beads. Even the gemstones that are retiring are the ones I'm least interested in.

Despite the last 1-2 releases not having many "trollish" silvers, there are still plenty out there. I think a lot the the WT release was quite trollish, so I'm still hopeful that there will be more "troll style" silvers in the future.

Shoot. The Flower with Dichroic Lock is one of my favorites. I love to check out the lock tray for inspiring or unusual color combinations in this design. It was generously stated that these locks are "vulnerable" to the loss of pearls and glass. I know many pearl locks have been returned for this problem, but I haven't experienced it myself with the glass lock.

I also love Carved Flowers and Small Berry which seem to me to be essential "trollishness." Trollbeads is shedding more than silver weight here. I think it is losing key pieces of its identity.

I had a LD show me the many ways to use that 2+2 beads I have always been intrigued by it after that. The many ways it can hang or be placed on a bracelet.

Although some of these will be avaliable for awhile, it's a huge retirement lot. Be sad to see some of these go!

Agree The stones or pearls coming loose is the only reason I can think of for retiring these beautiful and classic locks.

I guess the decision which beads to buy in the new year has just been changed. I will go for the old silvers as Art Deco, Sweater and the old berry because I prefer them to the new silvers.
Thanks for the info sita!! Smile

I am a little horrified the trace beads are going, especially beige/blue. And Grey Wolf. They are such great beads, might have to get a few more. I have like half a dozen double flowers and red/pink prisms from the last huge retirement (or the one before?) and I have never regretted the many multiples. I have never found a Blue Flower or Turquoise dillo I am happy with . . .

LindaJo, I do not have the only "good" Turquoise Armadillos, only 11 of them.

I am going to my LDs and look for the soon to be retired Silver Traces as I could use a few more before they disappear.

Ok I feel like an idiot but I can't figure out what one of the silver beads is. It's in the first row going from top to bottom and it's the bead right under the seals bead. What the heck is that? What is the next one after that also?

Pond, how good to see your avatar! Very Happy Hihi, it isn't hard to recognise you from the bracelet either as you have a distinctive style! I think my favourite 'dillo is the one smack in the middle between the two blue agates (?).

There doesn't seem to be much love for the numbered cherubs, either.
