Heartbroken-Troll w/Big Feet

I am just heartbroken. I just noticed that the dichroic glass on my Troll w/Big Feet is missing! affraid

This is the first bead I ever received. It was from my husband and means the world to me. I noticed Trollie was missing her glass today when I went to rearrange the beads on my bracelet. (yes, she's a girl-me- I love trolls and I have big feet Smile

) It must have happened this weekend, and I have searched high and low.
Is there anything at all I can do? Trollie was purchased late November 2011, but I doubt any warranty would be expired.
Please, if you have any ideas for me, let me know. HELP!

Oh nooooo! So sorry to hear this, mrinn! If you are still in touch with the dealer or online retailer where it was purchased, they should replace it without question. Additionally, (and of course correct me if I'm wrong) it is my understanding that *any* troll retailer at a convenient location near you should be happy to replace a faulty item. My LD has mentioned they send their faulty/defective beads back at intervals to their respective head quarters, and HQ replaces those faulty beads at no extra cost to them. The couple times I've contacted Troll directly about a problem (once b/c I didn't want to worry an LD over or something that seemed more a corporate quality issue and once b/c I purchased thru a going/gone-out-of business online retailer) they've always directed me back to "any" local dealer.

(The only trick will be if you have an odd glass color since dealers can't control color selection. If dealers near you don't have your color and you want that color maybe Troll headquarters would be willing to send your glass color directly to your dealer per their request, but I dunno. ???? )

Oh... I know you are heart sick ... hope you get the bead replaced or better yet I hope you find the missing glass and can get it fixed ... good luck ... flower

So sorry! It's the problem with the dichroic glass or pearl silvers, they are only glued and especially when you wear them regularly, the glue wears off and the glass/pearl might get loose and fall off.
I too think you should take it to your TB dealer and hopefully they will replace it. If not, ask them if they have a fitting gemstone or pearl they can put in as a replacement for the glass and have your very personal Trollie!

Thank you all for understanding and all the help. My LD isn't very savvy, but I will drive there tomorrow to see what they can do. If all else fails, I will find a beautiful replacement gem for her hair/hat.
This is why I love BT-I feel like I have so many friends that I just haven't met yet! Love

So sorry this has happened to you, I dread this sort of thing. There has been some talk of Troll limiting their warranty lately so not sure what their rules are now, but it would still be worth trying for a replacement.

Although as it is a special bead I think I would ask my local jeweller to suggest something to replace the lost glass so you have a special custom Troll Wink
