Many faces of whitby

Many of you will know that I love to visit Whitby, a little town on the north sea coast, with links to captain Cook and Dracula

But today, it's the middle of Whitby Goth weekend- so it will look like this



I'm just finishing breakfast and getting ready, then it's off for the spectacle of a town dressed up in anything gothic. Needless to say, the last bracelet is coming with me- note the 2 whitby jet beads on each end

Whitby is one of my favourite places, I used to go up for the gothic weekend twice a year, was great fun!

Yay! I adore Whitby - hope you having a great time! My sis and I stayed in the hotel there that Bram Stoker wrote Dracula in! Wish I was going to the Goth Weekend, we missed it when we were there. Love your bracelets too - my fave is the last one

Great interpretations of the moods ( & weather ) of Whitby. I hope to be visiting there in a couple of weeks ( all being well !!!) & will be searching Church St. for jet beads ... I'm particularly partial to the carved variety

Those are from a shop 'One O Five' on Church St

And for Bugladydi, these are not pearls, but the whitby jet beads I am referring to.

I had a great day in Whitby, we (DH and I) watched a steam train , the Goth Express, leave the station, then we did a lot of gawping at the amazing costumes (and I learned what Steam Punk is), visited the bizzare bazzare (got to love those black gothic babygrows) and of course had fish and chips for tea.

I will definitely be there for the next one in November

When i read "Whitby" in your title, I did indeed think of my beloved Transylvanian Nobleman! Love the combos by the by!

They are all great designed, but i loooove the one with the silver mountain, wich is just a gorgious one you have there
