When I was a child we had an old air raid (Anderson) shelter at the end of our garden. I used to love digging around up there and found no end of little pieces of pottery, shards of long lost plates and bowls. I can still remember the feeling of excitement as I wiped of the mud to reveal patterns in green and blue, hidden for such a long time.

I think it is this memory that draws me to these cream based beads and I now finally have enough for a bracelet, I like it very, very much, grown up childhood treasure sunny

These beads have a pottery look and I can imagine real well that it reminds you of things like this... isn't it great !!! I like a bracelet that is more than a bracelet with his own history and memory. Excellent !!!

I'm curious. Where do you find the gorgeous cream-colored beads? Does your LD sell them, or have you purchased them online? My LD doesn't seem to carry them.

That's a really beautiful bracelet.

I spot BB's cream based beads on there Smile They work wonderfully with your other beads. I was sooo tempted by them but had nothing to match with them - you've used them really well. sunny

I am sure that you are right because I had similar experiences with unearthing pottery 'treasures' from the old dead cottages that lived before my parent's bungalow and I also love the cream beads (I have been buying even more from Macrow).

Your bracelet is fantastic.

I like how you revealed little bits and pieces with your pics and then showed the last one with the whole bracelet, just like digging for bits of pottery. What a charming combo you have put together.
