Itchy Feet

There is my Itchy Feet bracelet. Everything on it tells something about the things I love on a journey.

Its hard for me, telling that in english. But I try and I am hoping, that you could understand, what I want to tell





- Wind mill: where the wind blows us to
We have no fixed destination. Two days bevore starting, we take a look to the weather. Where the sun is, there we will go (most of the time austria or italy).

- VW Beetle: Motoring
Sounds silly, but I love to sit with my husband in the car (I love this since we were "only" very good friends). I've always wished that we could drive through the night forever and never arrive - that this togetherness never stops ....

- Sparkling Star: night sky
For me is very little that is better than sitting next to him in the car (with the kids sleeping on the back-seat), looking at the stars forever and talking about all and nothing.

- Love snails: relationships / love
uh, yes. And not only the romantic side of it. The underside of the snails reminds me very much of physicality

- Treasures: Sea / Searching shells
I love walking along the beach and collect shells - with the two kids it is much more fun. And a crazy dog - he bards at the waves...


- Spaghetti: Typical food
I eat on vacation nothing Germanish, lots of my holiday fun is to eat things that exist only on vacation (or comes out of the travelling-country - to stay at the spaghetti)

- Troll with big feet: walking / walk the dog/ Picnic
Pack the backpack with food, start moving, everyone is allowed to decide which way it goes, and Mr. dog is happy when he can sometimes go where he wants. And finally, if we are somewhere in the nowhere (most on a pond or stream), we sit down and eat, talk, laugh.

- Baby Troll: fun / joy / Play / sons
Says it all. A fine rainy day, the drops making funny sound on the caravans roof. We sit in the warmth inside and play a heavy round of "settlers of catan".

- Palm: For me not only great weather, but also to "have nothing"
I haven`t to do anything, no annoying phone, no ring - I'm sitting with all those who are important to me, on my island. Nobody disturbs.

- Silver: all TB
- Golden Crystals: all TB
- Glasses Ink River: all Bright Beads
- Lock: TB, with two blue balls

Wow--your bracelet with the meanings for each silver is wonderful. You have given me a whole new appreciation of the Beetle bead. I too love to go on drives with my DH. Most times it's so he can go fishing but the drives are fun.

Absolutely stunning bracelet and the story is wonderful too. Love all the golden Golden Quartzes with the beautiful blues, Palm looks amazing in that combo.

Tiffany, in her store are not much beads to sell, but you can write her a mail and order, what you want. In "Buiten assortiment 1" and "Buiten assortimen 2" you can have a look at some beads, she has made. I have written a email to tineke, that I need 6 Ink Rivers. She made them for me, they were not in the shop. Tineke (Bright Beads) is a verry helpful artist.

The safty-chain is from Arielle. I love hers, they have Stoppers on it, the pattern on the stoppers is beautiful.

Trollfrog that is a lovely bracelet and thank you for sharing the story that goes with the beads. What you wrote made me think of trips I have done with my husband.

I did go and look at Bright Beads. She has beautiful beads. I think I can see in the picture you got yours lined with silver. On the website it appears that she uses rivets (2 pieces) rather than a tube. I have yet to see a bead with rivets in real life. Do you find any problems with this?

You´re right. 2 pieces. Never had problems with that. The sice of the rivets is the TB-sice, I can`t see a difference. I have about 50 Beads from her, all are fine.
