Opposites and its Crack! Empty Opposites and its Crack!

Post by snails Sun Mar 04, 2012 11:05 pm

I bought an Opposites Barrel Bead online and received it in the mail. It is slightly over-polished, but not too bad (the the discount was worth getting it even knowing that it would possibly be over-polished). What I did not expect was the "crack" that runs through it. I guess I should have looked at the TB website because there it is front and center! I'm sure that the manner which the bead was made required the crack to be there, but it just sort of looks out of place. It is still a really neat bead, although I hope it tarnishes quickly.

What do other owners think?

I think it's nice that the "crack"/joint was made to follow the outline of the design and isn't just a disfiguring line straight across the bead.

Some have more of a crack than others...but they all have one... Smile
The bead definitely looks better once it oxidise a little, I have a couple and I really like the chunky look the barrel beads create.

I agree, it's good design, they've taken trouble with putting it together. I can't wait to get one (or three).
