Teeny tiny silvers Empty Teeny tiny silvers

Post by ceruleanbluebird Mon Dec 12, 2011 3:17 am

I have two tiny silvers: Faces and Smiley. I am not quite sure what to do with them, as they are so small. When you see them in the catalog or online, size is hard to gauge. I guess I should have predicted Smiley's size based on his low price (from The Commons).

I love the teeny tiny silvers. I like them on the ends and using multiples stacked together in combos. They offer a sleek look as opposed to the chunky silvers.

I just got Sandi and she is such a great bead. Earlier in the year, I got small berry and I really don't know how I functioned without it!

I want to get the Smiley bead!

I have my tiny silver Smiley too, but although I don't wear him often I haven't been able to part with him, he's just so Smiley with all of those happy faces....

I adore tiny silvers. When I first started collecting, my LD had a bracelet of tiny silvers and normal-sized glass. A whole bracelet of tiny silvers in between glass looks stunning, believe me! You need more!!

The tiny silver look great together with perls or small ambers, just add a few more tiny ones (eg. Berry, Fairy, Sandi), they also work well on the end of a bracelet, on leather or as kind of spacers.

I like the small silvers, when I bought my debut bracelet the jeweller gave me a brochure with the small silvers on the first page and I was instantly hooked by them, the kitten, hydrangea, small berry etc. I am always drawn to small things, I like small glass beads but I have added some of the slightly larger silvers to my collection. I like to put the small beads at the end of the bracelet, the plan for next year is to get some doubles.

Tiny silvers are also good when "splitting" the fantasy necklace, with or without a splitter bead. Use them right next to the split, they won't bang into each other the way larger beads do, they sit better.

Tiny beads are also good as spacers between beads which have details on the sides. Like the daisy beads, or Picasso Jaspers, or the Troll Coin.

I tend to put my largest bead in the center as the focal, and work out from there, with the smallest ones being on the ends. This is my most dramatic example.

Eeyore, beautiful bracelets, especially the second Love
I absolutely love the small beads, the look even great on an all-small-silver bracelet, I usually use them at the end of a bracelet. Very Happy

The tiny silvers are fabulous. You can use a couple to frame a focal bead or at the ends of bracelets. I also like to use lots together for aired delicate look.
