A sad tale to tell Empty A sad tale to tell

Post by ahmotheroftwo Wed Nov 23, 2011 6:09 pm

The once was a very wanted bead. It was the retired N. It came up for sale and a greedy bead collector bought it (and a few of its friends Wink). The collector waited and waited for the beads to arrive. Finally the parcel made its way to the states!!! A sad tale to tell Bird_mail_animated

When the package was opened, the collector found a BIG surprise!!! A sad tale to tell Surprise The letter retired N hadn't made the trip across the pond, but instead it was its evil cousin Z!!! Twisted Evil A sad tale to tell DSCF6561

The collector, although distraught, didn't want to send the little letter back, so she decided to become creative!!!
A sad tale to tell DSCF6562

Now she has her retired N and a new reason to wear her fantasy necklace!!!

He he! I had a similar experience some time ago when I ordered a retired N, much to my surprise a M appeared, I sent it back and then got a Z, sent it back again and finally got my N! The seller (a well known Danish online seller) was very pleasant throughout the whole transaction and arranged for my return post to be paid for - N is my husband's initial so M or even a sideways Z weren't any good for me!

N is the initial of my surname and I bought (or thought I was buying it) for my new family bracelet. It was going to go in the middle- but like I said, I hate the idea of messing with sending it back.

I'll just have to make a family necklace now to go with the bracelet!!! Laughing

LOL! That is the right attitude! If on your way you get lemons, make a limonade! ... BTW, I think it looks better on the necklace, perfect! sunny

what a success story. I bought what I (and the store clerk) thought was a C and upon closer examination at home, realized it was a G. These bifocals are not working!! I ended up swapping it and did finally find my C sometime later.

Very clever! I once sent something back to the Danish store and they said they never got it so it's great you are a creative thinker.
