What did you wear for Trollbeads Day 2014?

Did you visit a customer appreciation event at an LD? Did you wear something special or create something special for today? I'd love to hear about your experiences and see what you wore.

Here's mine:

Unfortunately, my visits to two local dealers were both big disappointments...no other Trollbeads customers were in the shops and they were sold out of the Tranquil Fantasy glass bead. The first one was offering goodie bags only to customers who purchased the Trollbeads Day bead (three trolls) and since I had already pre-ordered mine, no goodie bag for me The 2nd was giving goodie bags to everyone who purchased 50 euro or more, but I couldn't find anything to buy (was hoping for the Tranquil Fantasy) so I left both shops empty handed. (I'm trying to be much more disciplined with my purchases these days)   No refreshments or fanfare AT ALL, in either shop. I'm kind of regretting not going to Amsterdam now...but not sure if it was different there.

This is the combo I wore today: (I did have fun making up a new necklace and tweaking my bracelets)

I was at work - just wore my bangle with the big butterfly and a blue prism.

There's only one store in all of Ontario participating and it's a two hour drive (and then a two hour drive back with cranky kids ... ) so I didn't go. But I did make up a necklace to wear today since the TB Day bead seems suited for a necklace I chose the Tupilak Mouth bead since it is so Trollish

Where did you find that amazing fantasy necklace?

I went over to my local store, only a 5 bicycle-minutes away...
They had some drinks and chips/nuts. This was for all customers, but of course thanks to TB-day.
I haven't seen the special glass bead because they were already gone (they had 4 of them, sold all by 11 o'clock).  The 3 new faces; Intensity, Friendship, Joy, eventually came home with me. It is really a substantial one, not really my first choice but I also became fond of another faces bead, so maybe it will happen with this one also.....very bad reason (nowadays I only by beads when I really really want them) I know. But my Trollbeads obsessions has come to an end (luckily), I hardly buy beads anymore (I just have soooo many, I just find it silly to buy even more). Maybe this is a beautiful closure.....Then I will only admire beads bought by other people   

And o, the goodybag, consists of a TB lipbalm and 3 magazines (of the month June) and some promostuff of TB.

I wore my blue TB-X as I assumed that there were new links...but unfortunatly...none....

Both the dealers I visited also said that they only had a couple LE glass beads and they were gone early in the morning. In fact, one said they were gone from people calling to reserve as soon as the email went out

I'm actually about where you are with my collecting. I hardly buy beads, only once in a while and only "special" ones.

I'm glad you got the goody bag and shared the contents I guess I'm not missing anything. I have so much promo stuff I need to get rid of. I try to send stuff anytime I sell beads, but I still have so much left over

I hope you really enjoy the "Intensity, Friendship, Joy" bead!

I wonder what kind of bead Soren will design when he is really enjoying life....as I find it hard to see Joy in this one....
But Trollbeads has lead to several friendships so it is a nice momento.
Intensity also when I was really addicted....  and Joy, still when looking at the beauty of them and the different combo's to make with them.

Thank you, I was really pleased when the combo was done, I think it might stick around for a while   

The necklace is something that I made from a sterling silver chain from a crafting store and a pearl from a specialty beading store. I didn't want to pay for the Trollbeads version if I decided I didn't like FNs, but then I've never found a TB one that I liked as much

I must admit that I didn't realize the ummm positioning of the Hen and Rooster until I took the photo--obviously this is my first attempt at an all silver bracelet  

I just went to my LD.  No other collectors were there and actually I was the only one that entered their contest for the bead--which I guess was good, since I won   I had fun looking at beads with the sales ladies and came home with two of the new bead and a Baby Troll.  There were no bags of goodies or special sales, just little TB candies.  They did have the candle holders and candy dish, but didn't give them away.  I knew there wouldn't be much excitement at the shops around me, so I decided to make a scrapbook of my bracelets to celebrate TB Day--I spent most of the day working on that.

Oh dear. I actually was in a shop that sells TBs today, it just happened to be a few doors away from where I had an appointment and I thought I'd check it out, but they have fewer beads than I do and nothing at all recent.

I wore my Thomas Sabo and a Pandora aqua cord with a couple of beachy charms.

Thank you!! I got mine preloved from a forum member after seeing photos of it on the FN here. My LD originally got 3 in and all were gorgeous, so I don't think you will be disappointed!!

Yea, I thought of not mentioning it, but didn't want anyone to think I was in to bird porn.
