This holiday combo is about the warmth of friendship. Hope you won't mind the rambling note of gratitude that goes w/it: I found trollbeads and joined this forum at the end of my first year of graduate school in 2010. The funny/ironic thing is that my bead addiction began then--the beginning of the poorest time of my life, LOL! For me (I think) collecting has been about finding small pieces of beauty amidst the ugly chaos and competition of getting a PhD. What's more, I've found unexpected friendships, cheer, and generosity here that are truly priceless.

I made this bracelet before I defended my dissertation around Thanksgiving (there was a bit of eye-gouging involved), and I'll officially receive my doctorate in English literature in a couple weeks! This forum has been such a place of peace during this crazy process, so this holiday I am truly grateful for you all!
