I finally realized......

.... why I love gray armadillos so much (and would love to find one):

Grey is actually a very nice colour, its a bit like the little black dress, grey dress number, with a touch of red, or black dress with just silver n grey beads.

I have a grey prism it looks boring till you put it on the bracelet ;-)

Never thought of gray as the color of dolphins.

I love dolphins - that is a better reminder than I had in mind - mouse! I finally got a grey dillo recently in a swap and I adore it. I love wearing it with pink.

The more I thought about it, the whole bead reminds me of dolphins too, the way it gently rolls, as do dolphins when you watch them swim. I just may have to start calling all of my armadillos Dolphin beads!
